Islam in Germany: Project Darul Uloom

As you know that I have been to Germany a lot and situation is that Qadiyanees do a lot of charity work (cleanup after Christmas etc) so they get mentioned as the "Good Boys" in the Media.

Traditional Muslims are Turkish and their Mosques are mostly into cultural issues (drinking coffee, watching TV etc) or Barelwee leaning traditionalists who are not into Dawah.

Salafees are heavy-duty into Dawah and making good efforts but shunned by both Qadiyanees, severally opposed by Turk (and other traditionalists) and hunted down by German Government. Salafees in Germany are mostly not-Makhalees and one of the splinter groups headed by Br Pierre Vogel are balanced

There are 4-5 Deobandi Ulamah in Germany and Deobandees (like everywhere else) have tried to carve a 3rd way and detached from Turks & Salafees and mostly regarded as "Indian Muslims" and into Tableeghi Jamaat. Apart from Non-Asian (Tableeghi) Muslims Deobandees have no influence or affect in German society. In Hamburg there is a Maulana from Dewsbury who has translated Taleemul-Haq into German. I tried to these Hamburg Ulamah multiple times at the time of their convenience but couldn’t get appointments.

So the news of a Darul-uloom in Hamburg can be taken in many ways:

1. Would it have closer links with existing British Darul-ulooms?
2. Would it integrate, serve and equip students for German society? OR would it produce something like "British" Ulamah
3. Would it work towards removing the stigms of Deobandees being "Indian Muslims" or would it further solidify it?
