Ok this has really got my mind going, what if the following situation, by the way this is a real scenario:

Sister A got married to brother B
Sister C got married to brother D

Sister A passes away and brother D passes away

Brother B and sister C
(both now widowed)
Get married

Forget the guys side of it because we all know about all that, but who will sister A and sister C be with in the hereafter?

Shaykh Al-Albani (RA) isn't considered the greatest Muhadith by anyone except the Madkhalees these days and their numbers are dwindling. (From a previous post)

Aapa,

Calling a woman a cow is NOT an insult, it’s an affectionate nickname for nagging/moaning women.

Most Muslim women grown up in the west know this reference and they just smile and move on.

Jazakullah Khairun

Look at this way,

The Arabs say Himaar - Donkey  and the english say Cow! Just a bit of Humour. But at the same time I wouldnt agree with a comment on it being the same as calling a niqabi a ninja. That would be a mockery and in my opinion would constitute kufr. But then again, I'm not in a position to give out opinions, but just typing out loud.

I don't think we will ever get to the bottom of this (the actual topic).

Either we stick to the current topic, change the title or start a new thread in the light side. ;-)

After all, we all use names of some kind or the other, either out loud or silently. But the penultimate is that we will be with that very "cow" in Paradise. Ending this sentence with a very reluctant yet positive "inshaAllah" (InshaAllah is so that we get to Paradise in the first place, and NO, it doesn't mean I call anyone a cow)

Would be interesting to find out the answer to the original question, and other questions. Let's leave it open for now, see if we can get some authentic information.

As you well know, I don't want anyone of the feminine gender in my Jannah (Hoor, woman, Cow etc) Insha'Allah. As the Khaleefa of Shaykh (Maulana) Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) once said about the pleasure he gets in recitation of the Qur'aan and he will engage in it in pradaise and he will say to the Hoor, "Madame! If you want to sit and listen to the recitation of Qur'aan have a seat otherwise please proceed onwards".

May Allah (SWT) give me such a deeply engorssed pleasure in recitation of the Qur'aan and my reasons are obviously different, nevertheless Hoors/women are not part of my plan!

The Bedouin Arab (RA) *    wasn't interested in Hoors but wanted RED CAMELS in Jannat.

*     Don't know his name but he solved the problem for millions of men by putting the question to Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) and ignoring Hoors. :- )

Another from one of my reference sites

With regard to marriage, people are of three categories:

1 - Those who fear that they may commit haraam actions if they do not get married. In this case marriage is obligatory according to most of the fuqaha', because a person has to keep himself chaste and avoid haraam things.

2 - Those for whom it is mustahabb, who are those who feel desire but they are certain that they are not going to do haraam things. For such people marriage is better than devoting oneself to naafil acts of worship, because Allaah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) enjoined and encouraged marriage, and because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) got married, as did his companions, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his companions only did that which is best. And because the interests served by marriage are many, because it protects one's religious commitment, and it protects the woman, keeps her chaste and takes care of her, and produces children, and increases the numbers of the ummah, and will make the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) proud [of the numbers of his ummah in the Hereafter], and serves other interests, any one of which outweighs the benefits of doing naafil acts of worship, so it is better.

3 - Those who have no desire, either because they were created without desire or because they were created with desire but have now lost it, because of old age or sickness, etc. These people are of two types:

(a) Those for whom marriage is mustahabb, because of the general meaning of the evidence which enjoins marriage.

(b) Those for whom devoting themselves to worship is better, because they cannot fulfil the purposes of marriage and they would not be able to keep a wife chaste, which will cause her harm and this means that he will be keeping her without looking after her properly, and he will be taking on obligations and duties that he may not be able to fulfil.

The evidence which indicates that marriage is encouraged should be understood as referring to those who have desire.

And Allaah knows best.

Islam Q&A

What is the Islamic ruling on one who forbids marriage for himself and forbids women for himself?.

Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly:

It is not permissible for anyone to forbid that which Allaah has made permissible, such as women (marriage), food or anything else, because Allaah, may He be exalted, said:

"O you who believe! Make not unlawful the Tayyibaat (all that is good as regards foods, things, deeds, beliefs, persons) which Allaah has made lawful to you, and transgress not. Verily, Allaah does not like the transgressors"

[al-Maa'idah 5:87]

Some of the Sahaabah wanted to be celibate and keep away from women, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade them to do that, and Allaah revealed this verse.

Ibn Jareer narrated with his isnaad that Mujaahid (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Some men, including 'Uthmaan ibn Maz'oon and 'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Amr (may Allaah be pleased with them) wanted to be celibate, and to castrate themselves, then this verse was revealed.

Al-Bukhaari (5074) and Muslim (1402) narrated that Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade 'Uthmaan ibn Maz'oon to be celibate. If he had given him permission, we would have gotten ourselves castrated.

Remaining celibate, getting castrated and regarding women as haraam are all haraam. This is turning away from the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who got married and encouraged others to get married.

Al-Bukhaari (5063) and Muslim (1401) narrated that Anas ibn Maalik said: Three people came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asking about the worship of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). When they were told, it was as if they regarded it as too little. They said: Who are we in comparison to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? Allaah has forgiven his past and future sins. One of them said: As for me, I will pray all night forever. Another said: I shall fast all my life and never break my fast. Another said: I shall keep away from women and never get married. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came and said: "Are you the ones who said such and such? By Allaah, I am the one who fears Allaah the most among you and I am the most pious, but I fast and I break my fast, I pray and I sleep, and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me." Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5063) and Muslim (1401).

Thus is it clear that no one has the right to forbid women (marriage) to himself.

Thirdly:

Whoever has done that has to repent to Allaah, may He be exalted, and he has to offer expiation for breaking an oath, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allaah has allowed to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allaah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful.

2. Allaah has already ordained for you (O men) the absolution from your oaths"
[al-Tahreem 66:1-2]

Allaah has described the forbidding of something permissible as an oath.

See: al-Sharh al-Mumti' (10/475).

The expiation for breaking an oath is to free a slave, or to feed ten poor persons with the average kind of food that he gives his own family, or to clothe them. Whoever cannot do that must fast for three days.

This has been explained in detail in the answer to question no. 45676.

Fourthly:

The ruling on marriage varies from one person to another, according to financial and physical ability and how much a person needs to get married. In some cases it is obligatory and in others it is mustahabb or makrooh.

And Allaah knows best.

Well in that case I will leave it to you guys to worry about that. I will be happy with a real cow, as long as I don't go to hell! In fact, I don't mind being the cow if it would mean no hell for me!
