salaam

why are the local ulama against the women only gathering? (assuming that it adheres to purdah and decency).

is it because they do not see her and her behaviour as a good example for the local women? or is it because she is spreading questionable information? or is it because they feel this is just a confidence trick and as soon as she gets a larger following and support, she will then revert back mixed gatherings?

This question is best sent to the "local ulama" who are against what you claim. The answer thereafter may be posted on this forum. That would be information.

i shouldnt have to clarify my position just because i asked some questions, but in order to dispel any ideas about me i am not a supporter of sis yasmin or br nadwi. i asked the questions in order to get better insight from other members and more specifically from muadh bhai (who i have benefited from much more than he will ever realise) , 1. to further my own knowledge and 2. to answer questions that have been put to me by others.
