In my experience most people claiming to have control of Jinns and Moakkils are either liars or actually don't have control of them at all or don't have full control over them.

I am not sure of its even possible.

it is however Islamically and logically possible for good Jinns to help because if Shayateen are being assisted by bad Jinns (and we all accept that) then how can it be prohibited or not believable for good Jinns to assist in good matters?

Agree colonel sahab.. i would say 90% of these Amils are fakes.. Tinheads who just make empty claims.. and destroy peoples Imaan and Aqaid..

They claim to have a thousand Jinnat anytime and yet cannot solve their own problems..

The genuine Amils whom i met only claimed that the greatest power lies in the power of dua..
rest its like taking Paracetamol..

wa Assalam..

A question often bothers me. There are numerous miscreants who despite their misdeeds are living without any trouble, for example, Bashar al Assad. As human fighters can't reach near him, why don't they send Jinns to punish him? If it's possible to harm a good person by using Jinns, why can't they be used to punish a criminal?

mufti menk is not well versed in this field. Also his saudi education will make him see things from a very 'wahabi' perspective.

Sorry to say akhii, but personally speaking I agree with him.

I'd rather avoid all these folks like the plague who claim they have links or a Sahabi jinn/muakkil comes to them.

Assalamu 'alaykum,

It depends how you 'use' them :
-if the jinn helps you by you doing shirk or something haram or sinful in exchange, and/or for haram things (stealing,...), then it's obviously not permissible and shirk akbar
-if you submit a jinn, for permitted things (by legal means) it might be possible, but indeed discouraged, and we were not born to be masters but slaves
-if the jinn is still submitted (again by legal means), or helps you by his own pleasure, without any compensation, and that for permitted things (ruqya, telling where some people are,...) it seems it's permissible given the story of Sayyiduna Suleyman alayhis salaam or the story of the lady in the time of Sayyiduna 'Umar رضي الله عنه who had a qareen, and people asked the whereabouts of the caliph 'Umar (who was untraceable) to her, and she replied he was marking camels given in charity, in such and such place.

(that's the gist I've been able to understand)

Wallahu a'lam.

no worries bro...just these salafi guys are ameuteurs when it comes to these issues. Bro we know of mufti ismail menk before he became famous. I personally don't find him that much of an authority though have respect for him. khair you are right sometimes a strict wahabi is more useful then a biddati/shirk kind of person.

I have heard Amils suffer from jinns in their latter life due to age and weak health. Is this true?

As-salam-u-'Alaykum, brothers, why don't we consult scholars instead of discussing amongst ourselves?

By the way, I think many of you watched this YT video- during live phone conversation in an Islamic Q & A program, a sister is possessed by Jinn while started telling her problem: (Warning: don't listen if it's night and you are alone.)

Kuffar jinns are more than Muslim ones in population of jinns.
Moreover, Muslim jinns follow shariah as we do. So they can't violate the laws of Quran and sunnah.
