I just thought I share some information that was shared with me.

I was told by my teacher that he went to a byaan where the last hour was being discussed. The lecture is well known but I shall keep his name out as the reference for the hadith or evidence was not given to me but as my teacher told me I trust him.

The lecturer said that a sign of punishment for a group of people who in big mass commit adultery and fornication is DROUGHT.

The lecturer asked the people to think about what is a drought.
Drought in weather is when rain is being withheld or shortfall but in general any thing that is withheld or short of is considered as drought.

The lecturer then asked. Think how the western world is in drought?
There is a shortfall of funds/ money. Everyone rich or poor is effected. He said this is a form of punishment for the above acts that are committed in the western world.
