Earth is spinning, so point where brother @AbuMohammed is standing is moving at 1,670 Km/hr
Earth is moving around Sun at 1,08,000 km/hr orbital velocity
Whole solar system centered around sun is moving.
Solar system is part of galaxy, the galaxy is moving.
And brother @AbuMohammed is confident that "Sirius is easily seen just after sunset", he has given position of Sirius on sky. (We don't know whether Sirius is spinning and orbiting).
It is happening, it will happen and I declare "It is above my head"
We have sunset time, how confident we are that sun will set at that time tomorrow. Or we shall wait till tomorrow evening.
Amount of fuel left in the satellite tank determines the life of the satellite. Once the fuel tank is empty, the satellite drifts from its position, its mission is over.
I quote:
Satellites use thrusters to either maintain their orbit or to change their orbit. As already mentioned, most satellites exhibit their life expectancy based on the fuel. Although when satellites are designed, their operational time also determines the amount of fuel it is going to carry.
Satellites that have run out of fuel, do generally remain in the same orbit for years. Satellites in low earth orbit gradually burn up into the atmosphere where as higher orbit satellites remain as space junk for tens of years before they enter the atmosphere. As space is getting crowded, some satellites use their last remaining fuel either to accelerate the De-orbiting process or move to a graveyard orbit, thereby vacating the orbital slot for future satellite.
Photo of Sirius taken with standard mobile phone camera just after Maghrib. Same position as it was in last week when I mentioned it.
Venus is also in the same place but the moon has shifted as expected.
Photo taken approximately 30 minutes after Maghrib (waiting to get to a steady location)
Screenshot from an app called skyview which allows you to identify what you're seeing in the sky and the location of other stars, planets, satellites etc etc.
The 1st-ever direct image of a black hole, released by scientists in April 2019. The image shows a bright ring formed as light bends in the intense gravity around this black hole, which is 6.5 billion times more massive than our sun. This black hole is located in the center of the galaxy M87, 55 million light-years from Earth. Image via Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration.

In 1994, scientists used the Hubble space telescope to view a tiny portion of the sky that was apparently empty of all stars and galaxies. What they found was extraordinary -- thousands and thousands of galaxies.

By Antares my mind didn't want to continue. It's truly incredible and it doesn't surprise me one bit that in light of the power of Allah this is not even a drop. For us it's mind boggling.
Yes I've seen that but it doesn't add up. All the verses are ambiguous and many theories can be applied to it. Our Aqeedah is that the Prophet physically traveled and returned.
The same thing was done with verses to try and prove evolution. The same thing was done with verses to try and prove the big bang theory which itself changed many times.
There's always been scientific debates about black holes. The main reason for that is the theories outweigh the evidence and science is done in reverse to maintain the black hole theories. You should check the 2 links I posted. Observations have always been mathematical and theoretical but never concrete as somewhere down the line it falls apart.
The sizes of planets and stars is very good math, some highly advanced but the black holes have always had "holes" in the theory.
A Nasa spacecraft is picking up a strange “hum” outside of our solar system.
Voyager 1 is the most distant human-made object ever, as one of a pair of spacecraft launched towards the edge of the solar system, 44 years ago. Its journey has taken it right to the edge and beyond it – and it is now fying through the “interstellar medium” beyond our own Sun’s influence.
Instruments on board the spacecraft that attempt to analyse that interstellar medium have heard a constant drone, which appears to be the noise of the universe beyond our own neighbourhood.
The drone appears to be emitted by interstellar gas or plasma waves that are out in the largely empty space between the stars.
“It’s very faint and monotone, because it is in a narrow frequency bandwidth,” said Stella Koch Ocker, a Cornell doctoral student in astronomy, who found the emission. “We’re detecting the faint, persistent hum of interstellar gas.”
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
