You just never know, never say never! If the people of Syria were told of state of their country 5yrs ago they would never have believed it.
The following was at a time during the Bosnia atrocities, some families were temporarily rehomed in UK until situation calmed down and they returned....they would say we all lived a normal life just like you, we can't believe that neighbors who loved each other started killing each other....it's like a normal every day situation turning upside down over night. We had no idea this would happen in our country.
Since then, we've heard from the people of Gujarat say the same things.
The tsunami; people were just going about their normal lives, and without warning families, buildings, towns just got swept away.
Over the past 10yrs we only experienced one 4hr electricity blackout in winter, due to a nearby fire, which meant cold water, no lights or heating....we never stored candles, because we never had the need for them, just made us appreciate what we took for granted, and how spoilt we really were.
We have a lot to be grateful for الحمد لله
May Allah سبحانه وتعالى protect us from all calamities, because only he knows what tomorrow holds for us.
A few years ago I know a brother who was planning to relocate to Syria but in the end he decided not to due to the discrimination of not being an Arab.
Syria is something else, but it's the land of lions, just look at its history. Insh'Ala after the dog Bashar is gone no Alawite will ever rule Syria again, people have begun to wake up, the liars and bootlickers have been exposed. The true colours of Hizbushaytan have been exposed to the world and to many of our ulema who called for Shia Sunni unity.
The West wants us to become modernists, today I read about the first gay Imam in the US, the day is coming anyone who follows their Deen to the letter is a extremist, the divide is widening, your either with us or your either not.
The truth is we as a Ummah each one of us have failed our duties to our Creator and that's why you see the atrocities and disasters you see today. We were kings once and today we are worser than dogs, scrounging for a bone. Muslims lives have no value no more, this is not the fault of anyone or any conspiracy but solely of ourselves. We became sell outs.
Read history it's all in there and just like many have said before 'history repeats itself'.
