I was once present in a Majlis with Mufti Saeed Ahmed Palanpuri when he was in a mood of joking.

He started his talk with an intro and he said that one day someone commented to him and said "Mufti Saab, the Westerners have reached the Moon, they have progressed so far and you sit here and teach us petty things like how to clean yourself when visiting the toilet". Mufti Saeed Ahmed replied, "When they are on the moon, they still need to visit the toilet, these Mas'ala will be needed there too".

(Its just a coincedence that this is also to the with the moon)

My point is any subject is knowledge for the deen.

Another Scholar (a personal friend of Mufti Taqi Uthmani) once told me, "Little Knowledge can lead one to hell".

Just to note: I will never fall into the moonsighting argument as this argument is probably older than me. If it's not been solved in my lifetime, there's a good reason and perfectly good chance it won't be solved via forums.

People are quick to blame Ulamaa yet when the Ulamaa try, no one listens. I used to blame Ulamaa too until I came across the amount arguments on every single forum.

One of the members got a lot of stick recently on this forum so I'm posting this here thanks to the above post by guest.

Jazakallah for the post guest. I'll address this post here (if the topic starter does not mind)

There's 4072 threads on this forum and only 6 of them are moonsighting.

If someone feels strongly about something Islamic or general, they can share it here as long as it benefits in any way positive. A topic cannot be stopped on the grounds that one does not like it.

I have put a stop on the debates which is why information filled posts from external sources (Ulamaa) are now being added only. To inform, not to debate.

I tend to always think positive and my hope with these topics is that one day, some day, all the Muslims in each locality will start Ramadhan and celebrate Eid together..

Please do not discourage anyone providing any sort of knowledge. Jazakallah brother
