This post has been reported. It could be due to breaking rules or something as simple as bad use of bbcodes which breaks the page format. We will attend to this soon.

Please maintain respect for each other and Ulamaa (if topic is about a scholar) by avoiding accusations and slanderous comments. Also remember that in order for criticism to be constructive, it must be channeled in the right direction. If there is any doubt in a matter, it is better to ask, clarify or to remain silent rather than to speak ill of another person.

The illogical rule: "men in ihraam only can enter mataaf" continues in haram.

Over 2700 healthcare facilities in Saudi Arabia to treat Umrah pilgrims under insurance scheme
November 10, 2022

JEDDAH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that pilgrims and visitors can benefit from more than 2,764 facilities providing health services in various cities and regions of the Kingdom during the current Umrah season, as part of the insurance program for Umrah performers coming from from all over the world.

A selection of 151 public and private sector hospitals will provide services to pilgrims and visitors coming to Makkah and Madinah, in addition to 773 health centers and polyclinics, as well as 1,840 medical laboratories and pharmacies all over the Kingdom.

The insurance program aims to enhance the quality of life for Umrah pilgrims and visitors while they are in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah and pray in the Prophet's Mosque. The program was launched by the Ministry to improve quality of service provided to pilgrims and to enrich their religious and cultural experience within the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The insurance policy provides healthcare and travel protection and harnesses all capabilities and efforts to serve pilgrims and fulfil all their requirements from the moment they arrive in the Kingdom and until their departure after performing the rituals. This comes within the objectives of Vision 2030 to improve the experience of pilgrims by enabling them to perform Umrah utilizing swift solutions and options, and to make it easier for them to perform the rituals in peace and comfort until they return to their country safely.

The Ministry recently announced a set of facilities for pilgrims, which include allowing the Umrah pilgrimage for all types of visas, canceling age requirements, and procedural restrictions related to the presence of a mahram for women, in addition to facilitating the movement of pilgrims between cities and regions of the Kingdom, and extending the period of the Umrah visa from 30 days to 90 days, with the aim of facilitating the arrival of pilgrims with ease and tranquility , raising the quality of services provided, and enriching the religious and cultural experience of the pilgrims. — SG

If they are not checking umrah permit then just wear the ihram from your hotel room to enter mataf.

Yh it's a pathetic rule with no basis in islam thus don't follow it. I was there last Ramadan and began turning on in ihram so I could do nafl tawaf and sit/pray in mataaf. Don't knw what purpose this serves at all

As much as I agree with the stupidity of not allowing "men" in to the Mataf area without Ihram, if this is their current ruling to keep the crowd numbers low (based on the deception of Covid-19), isn't wearing the Ihram to lie and decieve, considered sinful?

Yet at the same time many women enter the mataf (not following the current Saudi rule) with no questions asked but if they were to be stopped, I wonder if they would speak the truth or lie.

It's all a mess. You believe one lie, you most likely to believe them all and everyone suffers the consequences!

If it's to slow down the spread of covid then what about other floors in Haram. It's an oppressive rule so i don't know if it would still be sinful.

It's not to stop Convid-19. It's to keep crowds on a lower number, for the men at least.

Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense to have a million people indoors all cramped up and only let a few outside. It's illogical. Convid is an excuse that people will buy into and follow.

I reckon, after Ramadhan or Hajj, when there's going to be over 100,000 people crammed in the mataf, the rulings will change after that or around that time and Allah knows best.

Not only oppressive but more importantly no where in islam does it prevent people from going mataf if they not in ihram. Also you're not lying I didn't say I was doing umrah I was just in ihram. People do umrah and leave ihram on for few hours.

Even though we differ on some covid related issues it's stupid that somehow covid can only be passed in mataf and 2nd half of tarawih as if it won't spread other floors and courtyard wer we are packed like sardines or first 10 rakats of tarawih.
