On android it's free. After initial download, it downloads files too. All free. In fact after downloading it, the first page even says that it is a free gift to us from a generous person

Looks pretty decent too. MashaAllah.

If you select a Qari, be warned that it downloads to the phone so do it over WiFi.

It has got vibration alert option to for reminder of prayer times. Its widget is also pretty nice.

An app named (android) Dua and Azkar, masha'Allah hadith references given, but for some it is not given, as I don't know whether the dua/azkar is established from sunnah of Holy Prophet (salallahu 'alayhi wassalam) [of those which have no reference to any hadith in the app], it is best to practice that which is certain.

and only Allah Ta'ala knows best.

I went to see a client yesterday. His phone kept making Istigfaar every now and then.

I didn't realise it was an app and not an incoming tone.

This app, (not tried or tested) sounds good, but I can see that it can have its negatives for me. So personally I wont be installing it.

Description

Dhikr Reminder is a very simple app which will remind you to make Dhikr & Istighfar as often as every 5mins or up to 24hrs.

Simply select the Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah) that you want, then select the frequency ie 5mins, 30 mins, 1hr etc, Switch the app on by sliding the on/off button and then click save. That's it!

When changing your preferences, switch the app off first, make your changes, then switch the app back on and save.

Select from the following Adhkar and Istighfar:

1 - Astaghfirullah - (I ask Allah to forgive me)
2 - Subhan'Allah - (Glory be to Allah)
3 - Alhamdulillah - (Praise be to Allah)
4 - La ilaha ill Allahu Wahdahu la sharika lah - (There is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him)
5 - Allahu Akbar (Allah is [the] greatest)
6 - Subhan'Allahi wa Bihamdih, Subhan'Allahil `Adheem - (Glory be to Allah, and Praise, Glory be to Allah, the Supreme)
7 - Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibul 'afwa fa'fu 'anni - (O Allah, indeed You are the Pardoner, You love to Pardon, so Pardon me)
8 - Lā Hawla wa lā Quwwata illā Billāh - (There is no might nor power except in Allah)

Ensure you switch the app OFF when taking your phone into the bathroom to prevent the Adhkar from playing. I don't think I could do that, as the comments on the app suggests that the dhikr continue even on silent/vibrate (unless they turn the sound off and not the ringtone volume) So it can be a bit hectic. Since I've come across this app, I have seen a few other versions that you might want to try out.

(There is another app called quran bayan which is different)
