Wudhu
Wudhu is to purify oneself before performing Salah or touching/reading the Holy Qur'aan. The Salah of a person who does not perform Wudhu is not accepted. To perform Wudhu a person must perform oblution in the following manner:

1. Make intention for purification and recite 'Bismillah'

2. Sit on a high clean place facing the Qibla.

3. Wash both hands upto the wrist three times.

4. Use a Miswak for cleaning the teeth and gargle the mouth with water three times. (the use of Miswaak increases the reward for salah by 70 times)

5. Take water into the nostrils three times with the right hand and clean the nose with the left hand.

6. Wash entire face three times from the forehead to below the chin and from one ear lobe to the other.

7. Make khilal of the beard.

8. Wash the right arm upto the elbow three times. Then wash the left arm upto the elbow three times.

10. Make khilal of the fingers.

11. Perform masah (wiping a portion of the head) by keeping three fingers of each hand together (middle finger, ring finger and little finger)keeping the palm, thumb and index finger raised and away from the head. wipe the three fingers from the forehead to the upper portion of the nape. Then place the palm on the sides of the head and bring forward to the forehead, and insert the index finger into the openings of the ear. Then wipe behind the ears with the inner part of the thumb. Complete by wiping the nape with the back of the middle finger, ring finger and the little finger.

12. Wash both feet beginning with the right foot first upto the ankle three times. Use left hand to make khilal of the toes and washing of the feet.

The following are disliked acts whilst performing Wudhu:

1. To make Wudhu in a dirty place.
2. To clean the nose with the right hand.
3. To talk of wordly affairs.
4. To perform Wudhu against the Sunnah
