salaamualaikum wrwb brother yasin

brother, wouldn't it just be better not to advocate the works of this guy zakir naik completely? it would help prevent a lot of confusion to the new unwary muslims who are seeking the truth. this is my opinion and I don't expect anyone to agree with it. I myself use to hand out a lot of audio cd's of Khalid yaseen to non muslims and jaahil muslims in regard to Christianity and comparative religion but I discontinued this practice completely when I heard him saying that muslims should'nt blind follow any of the four mathaabs. to me, it doesn't make sense to promote works on comparative religion of these type of daaii's who uphold opposing views of the ijma of the ulema and shariah. the sahabah ( R) did more with less in terms of giving dawah. why cant we try without the likes of mr zakir naik ?
jazakullah

Actually no one is promoting or advocating these absurd views, rather they are being exposed.

May allah reward you all for bringing up their absurdities. I'm just saying that we shouldn't use any of their works that may be of good use. I think you know what mean brother.

Since my house in mumbai is jus a lane across IRF(islamic reasearch foundation), i used to go ther a lot when i reverted to islam where dr zakir naiks wife befriended me. During an open question answer session I too asked the same question if a mensurating woman can touch the quran and to my surprise it was yes and the reason given for this is its bcos ur tongue is pure and u need to be doing zikr all the tym and the best way of doing zikr is reading quran even if it means reading during menstrual impurity.

How heartbreaking and sad, with the misinformation. How can a layperson, identify between truth and falsehood from listening to such speakers. So important to learn Deen from authentic and reliable ulamah. Allah protect the Ummah.

In America I was a young student and went to the Masjid in the middle of the afternoon. The Salafi commitee was having a meeting in the prayer hall and heated discussion about people bringing their kids to the Masjid and they run around and make noises and it was suggested that Sisters should look after the children while they were saying brothers should help.

One full Beard Arabb Salafi said to the Sister (not his wife and her husband sitting in front), "Allah (SWT) has not equipped us to feed and deal with the children"  and everybody started laughing and giggling!

I said to the Imam and the brother, "IF you said this to my daughter/sister/wife/ I would put a Bullet in the middle of your forehead without even thinking!" But since you Arabs have no shame your women tolerate this TRASH and their husbands are HOMOSEXUALS for a Na-Mehram man to joke about his wife in front of a committe and join in the laughter!

The Sahabah would have spit on your faces for such despicable shamelessness!

Over 2 Decades and this still fills me with anger!

And you're saying to them about bullets & forehead was the easy method of dealing with the situation by which they were brought closer or distanced? Now, had you taken time out & tried with love and affection to explain the error of their ways the effect may well have been different.

We have an Umar رضي الله عنه and we have an Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه.

Two great personalities to walk the face of the earth.

In my opinion, Umar رضي الله عنه would have taken the position that brother Muadh has felt and you may have taken the position Abu Bakr may have had.

There was a great story for which I don't have all the details for this quick reply, but once a man went to ask Umar رضي الله عنه for his opinion after disagreeing with the prophet and abu Bakr, Umar returned to his place, picked up his sword and chopped the man's head of and said that "this is my opinion".

Don't worry sister, we continue to make mistakes throughout our lives and learn to better ourselves through them. Allah accept our efforts and forgive our sins. Mercy of Allah subhaanuhiwata'aala's forever outweighs his anger. Alhumdulillah.

You have been very blessed and guided onto the straight path, who knows where you may have been today if you were still following the misguided teachings of such speakers, Allah keep us on the straight path and guide such speakers to haq and also grant them forgiveness.
