Masjid e Quba Events
Inshallah on Saturday 17th October at 11am the monthly sisters Path to Piety program will have a talk by Ustadha Rabiah Humayun (Graduate of Noorul Islam Woman's Academy, Leyton). Her talk will be about her journey from university life to Allah through her studying the deen. This will be followed by a talk by Mufti Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf, usually on a contemporary issue, closing with a general QnA at the end. A relaxed atmosphere for sisters to attend and enjoy the benefit of the Masjid environment, the company of other sisters/ustadhas and the words of ulama. Refreshments will be served. (poster)
On Saturday 24th October Shaykh Abdur Raheem ibn Dawood (of Bury) who was the masjid's iti'kaaf guest scholar will be giving a talk after Esha. There after he will hold a zikr gathering after Fajr the following Sunday morning (25th). In the same morning he will give a talk for sisters at 11 - 12:30pm. Inshallah the hope is that the eminent shaykh will be having this program at Quba on a monthly basis. - poster to follow
Every Tuesdays and Wednesdays from November after Esha the Tajweed learning class will resume on the 1st floor taught by Shaykh Imran Patel. Also resuming from November every Sunday after Esha will be the hifz refresher classes on the 1st floor taught by Mufti Osman Hickmatulla for Huffaaz who wish to revise their hifz of the Quran. . Every Thursdays after Esha also the masjid holds a Durood/Salaat & Salaams zikr gathering. Please email the masjid for further info on these classes. Every Friday after Esha Shaykh Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf holds a class on the exposition of the 99 names of Allah - poster to follow.
Also a reminder of the Masjids weekend radio programs that feature talks by Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, Shaykh Sulaiman Moola, Shaykh Saleem Dohrat, Imam Zaid Shakir, Shaykh Tahir Anwar, Mufti Saeed Palunpuri, Mufti Taqi Usmani and a host of other scholars. Also nasheeds by Zain Bhika, Yusuf Islam, Dawuud Wharmsby Ali, Junaid Jumshed and a host of others. Tranmitters (with at least a 5 mile radius) are available from the Masjid office - after Ramdhan only a handful are left now!
With Hajj on our door steps in a month or so there'll be Hajj classes and presentation early next month for those going hajj.
