Syllabus Structure
Year 1
* Complete the Azhar Academy Ahsanul Qawaid (green book)
* At the end of this course children should be able to read Quranic text slowly and gain fluency with little practice.
* Basic Duas
* Islamic studies - The Dar-us-Salam Series by Maulvi Abdul Aziz Book 1 & 2
Year 2
* Memorise at least half of Juz Amma and read the whole of Juz 30 fluently.
* Introduction to Qur'anic Arabic
* Learn the common masnoon duas
* Know how to pray
* Islamic studies - The Dar-us-Salam Series by Maulvi Abdul Aziz Book 3, 4 & 5
Year 3
* Memorise Juz Amma completely
* Start memorising Surah Mulk, Ya Seen & Ar Rahman
* Read the Qur'an fluently with Introductory Tajweed rules
* Islamic studies - The Dar-us-Salam Series by Maulvi Abdul Aziz Book 6
* Learning About Islam (Yahiya Emerick)
* Fiqh of Salah & fasting - detailed

The Weekend school programme, constitutes a 3 year course taking children from the age of 5 until they are 8 where they practice Tajweed, Reciting the Qur'an and memorise selected chapters of the Qur'an with meaning as well as completing a comprehensive, structured LHA Islamic studies course.
Our teachers are:
* All English speaking
* Educated and brought up in the UK
* Have verified CRB checks
Our commitment to our students:
* Small classes - A teacher for every 10-12 children
* Modern classroom setting
* Develop good character and conduct insha Allah
* Learn to recite the Qur'an with excellent Tajweed
* We will not compromise on quality reading for the sake of finishing the Quran.
* Other subjects include Aqeedah, Fiqh, Seerah and Masnoon duas
* Older children will study and memorise selected Chapters of the Quran including Juz Amma, Surah Yasin, Ar Rahman and Surah Mulk.

While we understand that the Weekend School is not a substitute of a full time Islamic school, we believe that through such a program, London Hifz Academy would provide a suitable environment to help our children become proud, practicing Muslims, insha'Allah.
