I'm not getting too involved with aalimah course although I think its great idea. But Guest let be realistic again how many ppl i.e. sisters will turn up to these circle, I can't image a lot, a success in these circle rely on more then a few sisters attending.

Sometimes rather then someone talking for an hour or two, learning from text book with an aalimah teaching is the best way for something to stick to your head??

An about aalimah sitting at home, "that not fair", how much opportunities are there for sisters in an Islamic environment?? And not all parents want their daughter to go out?? There so much to consider before saying 95% aalimahs sit at home

Alhamdulillah, all the alimahs i know are doing work of deen apart from one who has just had her third child, they either work in islamic primary and secondary schools aswell as hold taleem at home, also many alimah's work in madressa's in the evening, many alimah's return to boarding school to teach or do khidmet, i think they are doing a great job, dont really know any alimas's sitting at home doing nothing. it is not very difficult for a practising or non-practising person to find someone of knowledge to aid them in any field in Islam, there are many organisations that give guidance and support.

it is the responsibility of each individual to gain knowledge in Islam and implement it, it is a great sacrifice for anyone to be encouraged to study courses such as the alimah course so they can better their own lives and do kihidmet for their own future family, i was always taught that a childs first teacher is its mother. without knowledge we cannot implement Islam.

P.s for admin and authorisers apologies - I broke the a rule of posting replies to non-mahrams. Just a subject i feel very strongly about - the lack of sisters facilities. May allah forgive me and save me from the devious ways of my nuffs and shaytaan.

There is no rule, as far as I am aware, that you can only reply to posts of somebody of the same gender or somebody who is a mahram. As long as the adab of gender interaction is kept in mind, there should not be a problem.

Assalamoalaikum Warahmatullah

Just a few points for future threads, in shaa Allah:

1) I think sometimes we are all a little over-sensitive in our interpretations of each others' posts ... we gotta just chill out and expect the best of people, so that even when something might appear inflamatory, we must assume that it was an accidental misexpression/malexpression - dunno if either word exists, but you catch my drift.

2) As I was once told, to ASSUME is to make an ASS of U and ME (no offence intended to the donkey). Don't jump to conclusions; tread lightly in discussions, keeping an open mind about your viewpoint. Never think that you understand a matter fully because it's a rarity to know the intricacies of any matter fully.

3) Always avoid addressing another member/guest directly. Use the passive voice in favour of the active.

Hope I haven't offended anyone through my suggestions. Please forgive me if I have.

Fee amaanillah

Wassalaam
