Salaam

Alhamdulillah, i know there were sisters looking for tajweed classes in the evening.

Do you know if the classes are set over a specific time period, eg, 6 months, or just general?

Jazakallah khayr

I have heard of these classes too. they are in general to get peoples tajweed upto scratch. It should be good as the classes will include weekly talks on topics of the sisters choice each week.

So all sisters should try coming.

There is no fee. The classes are going to have time set aside for tajweed and the other parts will be an open surgery where we will take on suggestions of what to do.

Please do inform all sisters.

Assalamu Alaykum,

A hafizah will not be taking the lessons, however an Alimah who has been taught tajweed will take the lessons. We will take suggestions and try and get a hafizah to come but we will need a good turn out to try and get this insha'Allah.

As for doing posters. We do not have any but if anyone could design one and put the relevant information with mufti-says on it we will be more than happy.

These sessions will be a sort of open surgery where sisters can learn tajweed, ask questions, discuss topics as well as listen to talks on different topics.

I am interested in attending. But, can you tell me if there will be some form of structure to the lessons. i know that many times 'open' sessions tend to go off at a tangent.
Will the lessons be taught by following a particular kitab or teaching method? As in, a certain amount each week. I have found that classes which stick to rules and expect students to practise and fulfill their part tend to work out best.

The tajweed session will have a specific time set aside with a structure. We will be etaching rules and learning how to implement them each week. We will also set targets so that by a certain amount of time insha'Allah the sisters can read the Qur'an with some tajweed.

The other part of the classes are open to suggestion st the beginnig, then after the 1st few weeks they too will have some sort of series like for example of spiritual enlightenment.

Assalamu Alaykum,

The rules will be taught and then after we will see if sisters are at different levels and how we can cater for their needs. We have done a plan of what we want to do but cannot comment much until we have our 1st session.

We will start with the way in which to pronounce letters to the rules of stopping and the madd etc.

Hope this helps
