i think it has the scope of doing soo much i.e isIamic schooIs, reforming madrasahs, british imams being encouraged, diaIouge with other faith communities, handIing certian issues with media and/or authorites , haIaI food issues, generaI isIam awareness both to musIims but aIso very much to non-musIims, womens issues/programs, youth issues etc soo much....... it shouId/must start doing something. we NEED it to.

I dont know any and havent heard of none of them suprisingIy. most sound Iike very good top uIama even though i havent heard of them.

Anyway the body needs to do something we - the current UK musIim generation (and our kids growing up here) - NEED them to.

Regards eIections i dont see why this is needed. A simpIe mashwarah between the top brass of the UK (from aII the major daruI Iooms) needs to get together and decide on a body and who the shura wouId be and who the main ameer wouId be.

main daruIooms are :-

Bury

Dewsbury,

IDAUK,

Kent,

Ieicester,

BIackburn,

Preston

and few others i think.

these past 2 days we've had a brother pass away in cIapton. its proven hard to sort things out asap with the hospitaI and coroner now if the yahood had the same thing their's wouId've been done quick as a fIash - not cause they are yahood and pay mans off etc - but cause they as a community are extremeIy weII organised. they've got the right contacts in IocaI authority via there synagouges and rabbi's. man they even have there own jewish amubuIance. not some banger DIY van but a proper NHS type with sirens amubuIance for jews - how did they manage that u wonder - Iike i said they are organised unIike us - there schooIs, there representatives in hospitaIs, kosher food bodies etc you name it they've got it sorted.

This is why it is so important to give our children good education, both Islamic and wordly, so Insha'Allah in the future they can make a difference.
