Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,

There is an amazing book out called the THE SACRED TRUSTS - A photographic album of the personal belongings of The Prophet and his Companions.

It's amazing Mashallah, You can see a short clip on the belongings of our beloved nabi (saw) and the sahabas here Inshallah.

The Topkapi Palace Museum in Istanbul, Turkey has preserved hundreds of items that belonged to the Prophets, Companions, Caliphs and Heroes of Islam.

Swords belonging to our Nabi (saw)

Hair from the beard of our Nabi (saw)

Footprint of our Nabi (saw)

The seal of our Nabi (saw)

These images are taken from the Topkapi Palace Museum in Istanbul.

Duas requested,

wassalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah.

how can we be sure that some of these relics are authentic? is there some sort of chain of owners - i.e like an isnad of ownership?

and its an important ques too - if they are authentic we must treat them with the highest reverence - the Sahaba Radiallho anhom would fight for a drop of spit of our blessed Nabi (saw) !

On the other hand, if they are not authentic then i would have thought (and Allah سبحانه وتعالى Knows Best) that showing any respect and reverence would be wrong and the items be discarded...a bit like a fabricated Hadith infact!

This point shouldn't be ignored. If anyone can find anything, please post here. I used to get a lot of emails of this sort but I used to just delete them if there were no references.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,

Talib: So true, it is v important to verify the authenticity, these pics are from the Topaki Museum which has preserved hundreds of items that belonged to the Prophets, Companions, Caliphs and Heroes of Islam...

Queenie: I really wanted to buy the book, it's a bit pricey about £70-80. Have a look here Inshallah, it has some background info and more images that are contained within the book Inshallah.
