How in the heavens could I forget 'The Decisive Moments in the History of Islam' by Muhammad Abdullah Enan, another impact making book.
Except for the part on Hz Khalid bin Walid - the book is superb, read the parts on why the Sahabh رضي الله عنه succeeded and the fall of Granada (Spain) among other things, the book I believe was published in the '30s.
Growing up, one of the most favorite books Hz Thanwi's 'Bahisthi Zewar' read and read esp. The part of the 'Signs of Judgement Day' - a favorite topic with us siblings, cousins, mamu's and maami's, chaachu's and chaachi's - we read, discussed, recalled, remembered and...shuddered.
Those were the days...
Easily one of the most famous books.
But not actually written by Hz Thanwi rather by his disciple.
