PLEASE HELP!!!!

Assalamu Alaikum. I need to know something. I've sent this question in the Q&A but i'm not recieving an answer from the mufti's.

I want your opinion on computer games. Is it HARAAM, MAKROOH or ALLOWED. I mean I hear some people saying it's allowed and you don't get sin and there's some that play it on the month of Ramadan and say "you're allowed to play computer games but not watch TV." Also there's an aalim I know who plays computer games. I don't know him well so I haven't asked him if its allowed or not and he's never told me if it's allowed or not. Or maybe he plays computer games despite knowing that he's getting sin but I dont know.

I mean sometimes when I'm drop dead bored I feel like playing a bit. Please, if any of you's are clever and know whether it's HARAAM, MAKROOH, or ALLOWED then please write it here so I can find out.

Brother, Inshallah i think it is better to wait for the muftis to answer. they are qualified to answer the question and we should try not to invite answers to Deeni questions from people not possessing knoweldge. would we ever ask a strnager on the street about what medication to take? no, because the effects could be disasterous. but the effects of wrong advice pertaining to Deen are far more lethal.
