AI will not destroy the World!

I asked my Lord for my Ummah that He would not destroy them by a widespread famine, and that He would not give an enemy from outside themselves power over them who would destroy them completely. My Lord said: ‘O Muhammad (s.a.w.), when I decree something, it cannot be changed. I have granted you concerning your Ummah that I will not destroy them by a widespread famine, nor will I give an enemy from outside themselves power over them who would destroy them completely.

Sahih Muslim 2889a, Book 54, Hadith 24

AI can benefit/harm the World!

But AI can clearly do great benefit or great harm to the world.

What are your thoughts?

I attend conferences of Global Tech leaders on this topic but in your opinion:

  • Is AI beneficial or harmful? What are some of the harms or benefits?
  • How do you use AI?

Humans must cheat the AI system by providing fake data.

A researcher must not disclose every data he has collected to his computer, encrypt his research data.

Smart Scientists do not disclose very important data to their subordinates. This is to keep a hold on their research based solutions. This was done even before AI was invented. These scientists keep hand written equations, calculate the numbers using conventional calculator and offer solutions, this means scientists were aware of data theft even before AI.

Is AI beneficial or harmful? What are some of the harms or benefits?

Procedures for disease diagnosis, medication prescription, and follow-up (ongoing medical monitoring) by medical professionals. State-of-the-art solutions in the medical field (though these should be utilized by medical experts).

Researchers do not need to "reinvent the wheel" (i.e., recreate something that already exists).

Downsides......... Misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by criminals and anti-social elements.

How do you use Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

Search engines utilize Artificial Intelligence; it helps in finding the desired solutions.

On a lighter note:
A meme.
It was written in the hospital enterance.

If you arrived here after consulting ChatGPT, consider consulting Gemini for a second opinion.

Proliferation of Lies

To me, the greatest threat of AI for common people is lying will proliferate to such an extent and it will be very difficult to separate it from Truth.

It is already happening.

In our time, lying and dishonesty is already being framed as "Fake News", "Alternative Facts", "Unknown Unknowns" or even "Untruth" when these are just lies.

The false story that surfaced yesterday regarding an Indian actor praising the Azan was generated using artificial intelligence (AI); the fabricated image accompanying it appeared completely authentic.

When I personally searched on Google to verify the story, I was directed to social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The fake news had gone viral on these platforms, even though I am not active on them. I initially wondered if news channels were harboring a bias against Muslims, which was why they were not broadcasting the story.

This raises the question: how can we counter this menace of artificial intelligence (AI)?

When the Internet become widespread, the people of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat pontificated while the people of Baatil took hold of it and used it and Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat joined late and lagged behind.

When the YouTube become widespread, the people of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat pontificated while the people of Baatil took hold of it and used it and Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat joined late and lagged behind.

Same is happening for AI.

Internet, YouTube and AI are merely tools and they can be used for good or bad and when people don't use it for good, evil proliferates.

The voice of Palestinians has been amplified due to Internet, YouTube and Social Media.

The voice of Indian Muslims has been subdued because despite there being a lot of IT expertise in India, the Muslims of India by and large lag behind in good globally presentable sites, blogs, vlogs about the concerns of Indian Muslims.

It is as simple as that, for more insight listen to Dr Waleed Kudous from minutes 50 onwards...

In the past, many computer experts have used social media to spread the voice of Indian Muslims. But Indian government uses laws like UAPA, sedition etc and arrests them and suppresses their voice. Many young muslims are in jail for 5 to 10 years without starting the trial.

So Indian Muslims keep a low profile on social media.

17 Year old Pakistani Arrested

A spokesperson for the agency said that according to preliminary information, the suspect — a second-year student and the only son of his parents — had reportedly developed strained relations with his father and allegedly planned to kill him following a disagreement.

During the investigation, authorities learned that the teenager had developed an interest in chemistry after watching the American crime drama ‘Breaking Bad’. He had reportedly set up a small laboratory at home to conduct chemical experiments, the spokesperson said.

The suspect allegedly obtained chemical material from Australia and Islamabad and concocted a substance at home with the intention of poisoning his father. He reportedly administered the substance to his father on one occasion, but the attempt was not successful, the spokesperson said.

Subsequently, the teenager allegedly sought further guidance from AI, asking how to administer a poison capable of causing his father’s death without detection, he added.

This obviously shows the close relationship between American Authorities (FBI) and Pakistani Authorities that AI searches are being monitored by FBI and reported to Pakistani Authorities...
