I am close to the age where people pass away and all my life, I have been gullible enough to believe everyone.
- When I was a Salafi, Muqallids were idiots
- I am a Muqallid, Ghair-Muqallids are idiots
- I am a Deobandi, Barelwees are idiots
- I am a Sunni, Shia are idiots
I have simply believed whatever the Ulama told me from the mimbar without research and authentication.
XYZ has abused Sahaba (RA) so if the Ulama told me from the mimbar I believed it! This abuse of Sahaba (RA) must be in the book or wherever...
Anyone who follows the Sunnah outwardly cannot possibly lie, how is that possible for someone with a Turban on their head and full Beard on their face, lie?
That's not possible, right?
Classic example is Taliban these people have Turbans, Beard, trousers over their ankles there is no possible way that what they say can be a life, impossible
And so I believed.
It was narrated from Umm Salamah that : When the Prophet [SAW] went out of his house, he said: "Bismillahi Rabbi! A'udhu bika min an azilla aw adilla aw azlima aw uzlama, aw ajhala aw yujhala 'alayya (In the name of Allah, my Lord, I seek refuge in You from falling into error or going astray, or wrongdoing (others) or being wronged, and from behaving or being treated in a foolish manner"
It never occurred to me that Rasul-ullah
sought protection from fooling someone or becoming a fool!
In the Qur'aan, the Prophets of Allah (AS) sought protection from being fools or being fooled.
In Urdu being fooled is called Puddu
In other words, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى prevent us from becoming a Puddu or making others a Puddu..Ameen Ya Rabbil-Aalameen.
