Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was the granduncle (uncle of her parent or grandparent) to Najma Heptulla.

Dear Liar!

Where did I claim that Maulana Azad (RA) had children???

Let me quote from the same book which you are quoting here:

Here is the book:

www.rekhta.org/ebooks/abul-kalam-azad-shorish-kashmiri-eb...

Page 6 reads:

There separate families merged into my family tree and all 3 were the most elite in terms of knowledge and practice in India and Hijaz...

Based on the book which you quoted and the text from Maulana Azad (RA) himself respond to the actual issue

Sellout Hindutva Muslims:

However, since you have brought up Maulana Azad (RA)'s, lets discuss his grand niece Najma Heptulla who is directly involved with the book you are quoting:

  1. Vice President of BJP (2007)
  2. BJP minister from 2014-2016
  3. Governor of Manipur on behalf og BJP from 2016-2021

And of course his great-grandnephew Aamir Khan of Bollywood...

I keep making a point about Bangladesh that they separated from Pakistan but did not join India! so after 100 years, what is better?

  • Muslims of Bangladesh living Islam OR
  • Grandchildren of Indian Muslims aligning with and/or marrying Hindus?

I am dead set against assigning the actions of grandchildren to grandfather but I am making a point here that what did Muslims of India achieve as far as their lives, properties and religion is concerned?

  1. Admitted: Pakistan is a failed state ruled by the Army
  2. Admitted: Bangladesh is a state in perpetual turmoil

Did the predictions of Maulana Azad (RA) come true OR are generations lost their Islam as their descendants married to Hindus?

  1. A person from most elite family in India and Hijaz
  2. Grandson of Ottoman Mufti Muhammad Ibn Tahir Watri (RA)
  3. Son of a pious Arab from Madina

is claiming this about Islam on page 193 (paragraph 2):

sanipanhwar.com/uploads/books/2024-08-27_15-31-17_59d70d1...

  • ... It is one of the greatest frauds on the people to suggest that religious affinity can unite areas which are geographically, economically, linguistically and culturally different.
  • History has however proved that after the first few decades, or at most after the first century, Islam was not able to unite all the Muslim countries into one State on the basis of Islam alone.

Just imagine what he is writing...

By the way I am a fan of his knowledge of Urdu, Persian and Arabia and I believe that he was a Master in his Art but I am not a supporter of his criticizing Islam

You have the book with you. Start reading from page 214 (according to the Rekhta link) or page 217 of the edition published in Lahore. You will find Shoresh Kashmiri's interview there.

Thank you for saving me the trouble.

now you tell me
Is your translation justified.

Azad says:
1. his mother was the niece / bhanji of mufti of madeenah
2. his grand father was from an elite and knowledgeable family from delhi.
3. similarly he discusses the family of his maternal grand father.

What is your objection here.

I am not disputing his family and lineage, I am saying that despite it look at this views on Islam! Just read what I wrote...

What an idiot!

  • I never claimed Maulana Azad (RA) had children, anywhere.
  • Idiot posts screenshots saying he had no children
  • I present Maulana's words to say that i.e. his family came from elite scholars and his mother was daughter of an Arab Mufti
  • Idiot posts screenshots saying the same thing!

I am saying despite his family background he considers Islam as a failure not Muslims but Islam in Islam's inability to unite people of different cultures, ethnicity etc

his words not mine

You idiot! Maulana (RA) is not saying that Muslims failed to unite because they didn't follow Islam properly, he is saying Islam failed to unite....

So his objection to separation of India and creation of Pakistan is because of Islam's failure in his view.

I am also saying that his family marrying Hindus and whatnot is evidence of failure of his position i.e. loyalty of Geography and not to religion will preserve Islam.

I am also saying that the life, livelihood and religion of Indian Muslims is in mortal danger 100 years later due to trusting his absurd opinion of preference to loyalty of Geography instead of loyalty to Islam

Ya Allah! What an absolute moron!

I am writing clearly in plain English...

Maulana Azad (RA)'s entire position is that the India (as a geographical entity) ability to unite people regardless of their culture, ethnicity, color etc is greater than Islam's ability to unite people regardless of their culture, ethnicity, color and Islam after the first century utterly failed and is a fraud WHILE India is 1920 still had the ability

He (RA) is actually writing this in the same book and you actually posted this passage!!!

And then Maulana (RA) says that his lineage comes from 3 families which are elite in knowledge and practice in India and Hijaz and thus he in uniquely qualified to make this observation on the utter failure of Islam and fraud while India (the geography) can be a success!

What an absolute cottonpickin Idiot!
This guy is like a dog in a hubcap factory!

Azad had never claimed that India would remain united if partition did not take place.

A novel experiment—the establishment of a separate state based on religion—was unfolding. Citing history to refute the idea, he had predicted that this experiment would fail... It was a decree of fate /qadr that his words proved true. And we are not celebrating this.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad is a book by Agha Shorish Kashmiri...... shorish is the person who interviewed Azad......

Islam was not able to unite all the Muslim countries into one State on the basis of Islam alone.

prove that wrong.

Is Hijaz united as during the era of Umar bin Abdul Azeez RA.
No....
Why?

It is one of the greatest frauds on the people to suggest that religious affinity can unite areas which are geographically, economically, linguistically and culturally different. It is true that Islam sought to establish a society which transcends racial, linguistic, economic and political frontiers. History has however proved that after the first few decades, or at most after the first century, Islam was not able to unite all the Muslim countries into one State on the basis of Islam alone

Note: I do not agree with Azad’s decision to cite differences that arose after few decades (he may well have been under Maududi’s influence). However, given the circumstances and events of that time, he might be granted some leeway in this matter. There is no telling what a person might do when compelled by necessity... It is for ulema to decide..

The fact is that, in its early era, Islam erased the distinctions between Arabs and non-Arabs, forging Muslims into a powerful and united *Ummah*. The intellectual, political, and sectarian fragmentation visible today stems not from religion itself, but rather from the Muslims' estrangement from religious teachings and from certain external and internal factors.

The root causes of this fragmentation include sectarianism and doctrinal prejudice:
the fundamental spirit of the faith was sidelined in favor of prioritizing peripheral and sectarian differences, thereby deepening social and intellectual divides.

Political interests and nationalism also played a role, as Muslim rulers and states prioritized their own geographical and political interests over Islamic brotherhood.

A lack of education and awareness—specifically regarding true Islamic teachings, tolerance, and the concept of *Ijtihad* (independent legal reasoning)—persists among the general public.

Furthermore, external interference—historically driven by policies such as "divide and rule"—has significantly contributed to undermining the unity among Muslim nations.

Note: The religious scholars who opposed the partition were aware of the conditions of the Muslims of the subcontinent at that time; therefore, their opinion was formed accordingly.

I have lost track of whether you are quoting the book here and hence Maulana Azad's opinion or if you are stating your own belief. Either way, this is now becoming an attempt to disprove Islam.

Just the fact that Islam was able to unite in the first century disproves the logic that it can't. Why did it happen in the first century then? What was being different? Or is it being suggested the first century Islam is different from today's Islam? Or is it that the followers of Islam are doing something different? Instead of investigating the real cause, it is being suggested that Islam can't unite but geography culture, etc. can.

I cannot even wrap my head around the idea that this nonsense was propagated by a "Maulana".

Today, the territory that was once under the rule of Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (RA) has been divided among several countries.

The disintegration of Pakistan—based on factors such as ethnicity, region, and language—has proven Azad right.
