An interview in 1946

An objective analysis points out flaws in this interview of Shorish Kashmiri; however, further research is needed regarding the interview's source and the identity of those behind its publication.
It cannot be ruled out that, It is possible that the interview did, in fact, take place.

Nevertheless, a great deal of other written evidence suggests that many of the points raised in this interview with Abul Kalam Azad do, in reality, reflect Azad's own views.

Summary:

1. Like many Muslim countries, Pakistan's inept political leadership will pave the way for military dictators.
2. There will be a heavy burden of foreign debt.
3. There will be a lack of friendly relations with neighbors and the possibility of wars.
4. There will be internal rebellions and regional conflicts.
5. National wealth will be plundered by Pakistan's industrialists and elites.
6. As a result of exploitation by the elites, the notion of class warfare will emerge.
7. The youth will drift away from religion, become disillusioned, and the ideology of Pakistan will come to an end.
8. It will not be possible for East Pakistan to remain with West Pakistan for a very long time. There is no common ground between the two regions, except that the people on both sides call themselves Muslims.
9. West Pakistan will become a battlefield for the contradictions and differences existing in the region. The national identities of Punjab, Sindh, the Frontier, and Balochistan will open the doors to foreign intervention. Global powers may exploit the diverse elements within Pakistan's political leadership to tear it apart, just as was done with the Balkan and Arab states."

Congress President Maulana Abul Kalam Azad gave the following interview to journalist Shorish Kashmiri for the Urdu magazine *Chattan*, published from Lahore, in April 1946.

He is lying!

Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad (RA) never gave any such Interview, BBC is also incorrect and the supposed book doesn't exist!

en.rattibha.com/thread/1687359904838033408

Nevertheless, East Pakistan and West Pakistan were never going to function with 1000+ miles of India in the middle and the only thing which united them was Islam and as Pakistan tried to become Secular it was inevitable that the two parts of Pakistan will break apart.

What is interesting is that East Pakistan broke apart and became Bangladesh instead of being subsumed into Bengal (province of India) and thus further cementing two-nation theory (i.e. Muslims are Hindus are two different nations) i.e. people of Bangladesh affirmed and continue to affirm their preference to Islam instead of appeasing Hindus which Indian Ulama propose to do.

Muslims of Pakistan (and then Bangladesh) both chose not to trust and live under Hindus even in a severally weakened state of Eemaan and in dire economic circumstances.

Pakistan Army:

What does exist is Pakistan or the Partition of India by Ambedkar who wrote the constitution of India and in his 1941, read Chapter 3 about Indian Army

dn790000.ca.archive.org/0/items/in.ernet.dli.2015.275465/...

He supported breakup of India in opposition to Gandhi because he predicted that if India remains united the Army will take over and create a state within (the Indian) state.

That's exactly what happened in Pakistan!

I do not expect the idiot to have read this book because it is a far more damning, direct and accurate prediction about Pakistan Army.

Note: We bow in submission to the decrees of Qadr/destiny, yet it is also incumbent upon us to respond to the slander leveled against our scholars. We accept the Partition of India, and we also believe that Allah Almighty is preparing the Muslims of India for a task that will bring about good for humanity.
I quote from Abul kalam Azad's book "India wins freedom"

Mr. Jinnah and his followers did not seem to realize that geography was against them.
Muslims in undivided India were distributed in a way which made it impossible to
form a separate state in a consolidated area. The Muslim majority areas were on the
north-west and the north-east. These two regions have no point of physical contact.
People in these two areas arc completely different from one another in every respect,
except only in religion. It is one of the greatest frauds on the people to suggest that
religious affinity can unite areas which are geographically, economically, linguistically
and culturally different.
It is true that Islam sought to establish a society which
transcends racial, linguistic, economic and political frontiers. History has however
proved that after the first few decades, or at most after the first century, Islam was not
able to unite all the Muslim countries into one State on the basis of Islam alone.

This was the position in the past and this is the position today. No one can hope that
East and West Pakistan will compose all their differences and form one nation.
Even
within West Pakistan, the three provinces of Sindh, the Punjab and the Frontier, have
internal incompatibility and are working for separate aims and interests. Nevertheless
the die is cast. The new State of Pakistan is a fact. It is to the interest of India and
Pakistan that they should develop friendly relations and act in cooperation with one
another. Any other course of action can lead only to greater trouble, suffering and
misfortune. Some people hold that what has happened was inevitable. Others equally
strongly believe that what has happened is wrong and could have been avoided. We
cannot say today which reading is correct. History alone will decide whether we have
acted wisely and correctly in accepting partition

  1. Recite the Kalima and source the original Interview

Further Exposing the Liar on the "book":

When this book India wins Freedom was published in 1958, it did not contain any of these passages

It was inserted in 1988 a full 19 years after the events of 1971and 30 years after the death of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad (RA)

These 30 pages which the liar is claiming was never part of the original book! India is the epicenter of Fake news as the world recognizes

The Liar being dishonest:

This Interview doesn't exist even in the 30 pages added a full 19 years after the events of 1971and 30 years after the death of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad (RA)

Facts about Pakistan and Bangladesh and difference with Indian Muslims:

Open Challenge to the Dishonest Liar

Despite all the problems and human rights abuses and state failures in both Pakistan and Bangladesh

  1. Are Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh free to pray and fast and eat according to Islam compared to India?
  2. Are Muslims in Pakistan and Bangladesh free to cover themselves, sacrifice animals according to Islam compared to India?

So which ideology has been proven and vindicated after 100 years:

  1. Hindus and Muslims are two different nations based on religion?
  2. Hindus and Muslims are one nation based on geography (of India)?

We know the obvious answer according to Qur'aan and Sunnah but after 100+ years of life as directed by Indian Ulama of advocating coexistence with Hindus, which idea seems to be correct?

His prophecy on Bangladesh doesn't appear in those 30 pages.

When he had the completed text in his hands, Maulana Azad decided that some thirty
pages of the text dealing with incidents and reflections mainly of a personal character
should not be published for the present. He directed that a copy each of the complete
text should be deposited under sealed cover in the National Library, Calcutta, and the
National Archives, New Delhi. He was, however, anxious that the exclusion of these
passages should not in any way alter either the outline of his picture or his general
findings
. I carried out the changes according to his instructions and was able to present
to Maulana Azad the revised and abridged draft towards the end of November, 1957

Sellout Hindutva Muslims:

However, since you have brought up Maulana Azad (RA)'s, lets discuss his grand niece Najma Heptulla who is directly involved with the book you are quoting:

  1. Vice President of BJP (2007)
  2. BJP minister from 2014-2016
  3. Governor of Manipur on behalf og BJP from 2016-2021

And of course his great-grandnephew Aamir Khan of Bollywood...

I keep making a point about Bangladesh that they separated from Pakistan but did not join India! so after 100 years, what is better?

  • Muslims of Bangladesh living Islam OR
  • Grandchildren of Indian Muslims aligning with and/or marrying Hindus?

I am dead set against assigning the actions of grandchildren to grandfather but I am making a point here that what did Muslims of India achieve as far as their lives, properties and religion is concerned?

  1. Admitted: Pakistan is a failed state ruled by the Army
  2. Admitted: Bangladesh is a state in perpetual turmoil

Did the predictions of Maulana Azad (RA) come true OR are lost their Islam their descendants married to Hindus?

So instead of arriving to the conclusion that the form of Islam that the latter generations practiced was so flawed that it was not enough to unite the different kinds of people, he drew the conclusion that it is a fraud in itself to suggest that Islam could unite the different people? When Islam itself holds the opposing view?

This is why the younger generation are so disillusioned with the ulema of the subcontinent. They don't act like people who have spent their lives studying and propagating deen.
