Some of these are pretty standard and well known positions in the Hanafi Madhab and Maturidi Aqeedah, for example:
- Every nation has the right to self-determination, to legislate its own laws without the interference of other countries
- Muslims must follow the Constitution. And we do e.g. Muslims follow the law by driving on whatever side of the Road etc
- There’s a difference between a sin and something that’s legal or illegal e.g. Car Insurance is thrust upon us...
However, some of other stuff that Maulana is saying and the way he is saying it may be true in principle but will get the Key Board warriors going...I noticed that they have not made the entire speech public for us to listen to what Maulana actually said
This whole debate is Academic because there aren't enough Muslims in US or UK to even influence the adoption and implementation of shariah law, all Muslims can do is pass some local or state level laws at best to make practice of Islam, easier.
