I recall Mufti Abdul Rasheed Sahab (db) citing the examples of Libya under Col Gaddafi and Iraq under Saddam Husain. Both were authoritarian, but both countries suffered immeasurably when their people turned against their rulers.
I found his line of reasoning fairly convincing and pragmatic.
The Arab states likely are also better off obeying their rulers than attempting an insurrection.
I recently saw a video clip of Mufti Saeed Khan Sahab (Al Nadwa, Faisalabad) in which he said he and some women from his household personally made funeral arrangements (at the request of a local official) for women and children massacred at Lal Masjid.
I also saw a clip of Mufti Abdul Rasheed Sahab (JTR) state categorically that not a single woman or child (except the mother of Maulana Abdul Aziz) was martyred at Lal Masjid and that he made extensive enquiries to verify this.
Has anyone ever come forward with proof to claim that they lost women and children of their family in the Lal Masjid massacre?
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
