“GAZA IS BEING DESTROYED – WHAT CAN WE DO?”

WE CAN CRY AND MAKE DUA

We are receiving numerous letters from concerned Muslims with these questions: “Gaza is being destroyed! What can we do?”

We all are pained, and immensely pained by what is transpiring in Gaza. While our hearts bleed, we must not lose focus. Our focus must be on Allah Azza Wa Jal. It is only HE who is punishing the people of Palestine. Denial of this irrefutable fact is akin to kufr.

Muslims are no longer genuine Mu’mineen, hence they miserably fail to understand the Qur’aan and Hadith. Leave alone understanding, they refuse to even reflect on their own spiritual diseases which are the cause for all the misery. Shaitaan has convoluted their minds and hearts. Muslims are therefore blaming the kuffaar for the disgrace and suffering in which they are sinking. They are too dense in the brains to understand that Allah Ta’ala is inflicting on us His Athaab in the form of kuffaar domination and oppression.

The Qur’aan states very clearly:

“Allah does not unjustly destroy cities whilst its inhabitants are engaging in their Islaah (moral and spiritual reformation).”



This answers the conundrum – why is Gaza being destroyed despite the fact that the Qur’aan Majeed says that Allah Ta’ala aids the Mu’mineen? Since they are sinking in their quagmire of fisq, fujoor and kufr, their punishment is the destruction of their land. May Allah Ta’ala have mercy on us.

What can we do now? We can make dua, and we must make much dua and do so sincerely. Abandon the ostentatious ‘qunoot’ displays, the stupid marches, vigils, looking askance at the enemies for help, and the like. Get up for Tahajjud and cry to Allah Ta’ala to reform the Ummah – to guide Muslims to understand the quagmire of filth and sin in which they are sinking and committing suicide.

Although we are convinced that Allah Ta’ala is punishing the Palestinian Muslims, we are nevertheless, pained because we are one Ummah about which Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:

“The Muslimoon are like one man. If the eye pains the whole body pains. If the head pains the whole body pains.”

We can only make Dua and provide whatever material assistance is forthcoming from Muslims. Our obligation is to make much dua for the success and victory of Muslims and for the destruction of the enemies. As for the Taqdeer of Allah Azza Wa Jal, we have no understanding. His Taqdeer is unfathomable.

May Allah Ta’ala guide us all and protect us all from the onslaught of His severe Athaab. Allah Ta’ala says repeatedly in the Qur’aan Majeed:

“My Athaab is painful and severe.”
