There is a glitch in the Android version that is causing Northern England to crash or produce incorrect timings

It is being looked into and InshaAllah it will be rectified as soon as possible.

However, let's wait for confirmation from Wifaqul Ulama in the matter.

We previously in the Astronomical Observatory published a statement of the conditions of the crescent of the month of Shawwal for this year and since the moon is at its apogee it is approximately 406000 km away from the earth and the increase in the speed of the moon, which averages 2100 km per hour, reduced the daily differences of sunrise to less than 35 minutes from the previous day, therefore it sets before the sun Today, 14 minutes

Saudi scholar says Eid Al Fitr will start Thursday
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Al Manea says Ramadan will last 30 days

May 10, 2021

Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Abdullah Bin Al Manea, a member of Saudi Arabia’s Council of Senior Scholars and an advisor to the royal court, says Ramadan will last 30 days, until Wednesday, May 12, local media reported.

“Ramadan 1442 H has started on Tuesday, April 13, and it will last 30 days (until Wednesday, May 12), because the birth of [the moon of] Shawwal is on Tuesday at 9.59pm, and the sun on Tuesday sets at 6.51pm, while the moon sets, 13 minutes earlier, at 6.38pm,” Al Manea said.

This makes sighting the moon on Tuesday unlikely.

“So Wednesday completes Ramadan 30 days, and Thursday, May 13, will be the first day of Shawwal, which is Eid Al Fitr,” Al Manea said.

However, Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court has called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to sight the crescent of Shawwal on Tuesday evening, Ramadan 29, 1442 H, which corresponds to May 11.

If the moon is seen, the committee will announce the end of Ramadan and the start of Eid Al Fitr.

Eid Al Fitr marks the end of Ramadans.

It is marked by Zakat Al Fitr, which every adult Muslim who possesses food in excess of their needs must pay to the poor, before a special prayer is offered on the morning of the first of Shawwal.

Due to a glitch on the app where it would not update the salah timings on the front page if you don't refresh the front page of the app after having turned off your wifi, I ended up seeing the previous day's timings and thus ate over the Suhoor time and now have to make up a fast.

Now I don't rely on the timings on the front page anymore and instead go to the full time table on the app just to be sure.

There is an update now available on Google, however, this update is to get the correct timings back up on the Northern areas of England.

Please ignore the widget for now as this may not update at correct intervals.

Therefore, I would advise you to open the app and refresh the page. Make sure the date is correct.

As I understand, they are working on the fix.

Eid announced today (13th May) in Pakistan when technically it wasn't possible to sight the Moon. Pakistanis should make qadha of one fast after Eid. [Edit: This is not required as advised by Ulama.]
