We run a FREE Islamic Madarsa in the heart of Southampton England (Madrasa Arsh-Ur-Rahman). When we say FREE, all our teachers and admin staff work voluntarily just to please Allah SWT and make it a Sadaqa Jariya and any admin costs are absorbed by the committee members.
We currently have 50+ students of which more than 10 have turned into teachers. So it's kind of a pyramid model.
We currently run our classes in a couple of local mosques (which we are thankful for) whilst not contradicting with the students of those masjids. (usually, we run between 6-9 pm so there is no conflict of interest). We are growing in numbers and at times struggle to accommodate new students.
We aim for every child in our community to grow up understanding the Qur'an, hadith and be able to recite the prophet(ﷺ)'s way. We teach a range of subjects ranging from Tajweed, Muqaddimah Jazariya, Matan Shatabiya, Madina Arabic, Hadith, Seerah, Hifz and preparation for Ijazah in Qiraat from Shatabiya and more. Our teachers are Mujaz Huffaz with one of the best and shortest Isnads in the world.
We are a registered charity (1175284) with the aim to raise ~£500K to build our own madrasa with praying facilities. We've so far raised ~£30K from in and around Southampton and are here with an appeal to the members of this forum to participate and support us in this great cause of Sadaqah Jariya by contributing generously.
