Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

“Do not insult my companions. If one of you were to spend the likes of mount Uhud in gold, it would not reach a small portion of theirs or even half of that.”

Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3470, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2540

Grade: Muttafaqun Alayhi (authenticity agreed upon) according to Al-Bukhari and Muslim

Quote:
Members have problems with me calling him Shia but they don't have any problems with their dear Maulvi Sahab disrespecting the Sahaba of Rasulullah صلی الله عليه وسلم. Allahul musta'an.

The problem here is that there is a system in place to grade a person; a deviant, fasiq, kaafir, mushrik or a shia. And you are not part of that system.

And it is a buhtan on us that he is dear to us.

Quote:
When you had not listened to this speech and his other speeches regarding Sayyiduna Muawiya RA and other Sahaba RA and you weren't aware of his stance then it was very unfair on your part to speak against the title I gave him.

I don’t listen to his speeches, because our deobandi ulema have stopped us. But you forced me into listen to that part of speech.

This led to a curiosity on to get more on what is told of a sahabi. Unknowingly you have created the damage.

Quote:
If these speeches were delivered by a scholar of any other group, you all would be speaking against him. Tells me about the double standard of Deobandis.

May be you are speaking of Maududi sahib.
Deobandi Ulema in India forced him to do rujoo. And he obliged. Maududi sab didn’t.

Maulana Ilyas Ghuman Db is also a deobandi.

Why did you reply to me when you had not listened to his speech?

I thought you were already aware about his position and therefore you objected against my post. And considering the number of excerpts you post from different books I was under the impression that you are a well read person. I had no idea that it would affect you to the extent that you would start doubting and searching about it. I apologise for posting that audio and I seek Allah ta'ala's forgiveness.

Where is the ruju'? Can you post it please?

I have created the damage by posting Salman Nadvi Sahab's audio but he is not responsible for anything. He is not even responsible for his own words; somehow the fault is mine. Those were his words that must have created doubts among other Muslims as well but Salman Nadvi is not guilty for anything, only bint e Aisha is guilty for speaking against him!

Ok sorry, you have deleted the audio.

I also will not go beyond this to investigate about the sahabi.

Choose your words wisely. "Investigate" is not the correct term to use here.

And please answer my question. Where is the ruju' which you brothers are referring to? I'm asking for the third time.

جزاك الله خيرا

Although he did not say that he erred in his opinion about these Sahaba RA nevertheless it is good enough that he won't speak about these topics again.

May Allah forgive me if I have committed ghulu in speaking against him.

We take a Muslim's words at face value and leave his case to Allah Taala. We do not delve into matters unless we are made qazi over him.

No ghulu here (in my humble opinion). Its natural to feel angry when the honor of Sahaba Karaam رضي الله عنهم is attacked. I have not heard this audio/video of Salman Nadvi but he has spoken ill of Hazrat Muawiya رضي الله عنه in the past. On that occasion, Mufti Syed Adnan Kakakhel (HA) put up a harsh tweet against Salman Nadvi.

Deobandis definitely do have double standards. Maybe not in the case of Salman Nadvi as he has been called out but otherwise.

Let us move on a middle path.

Maulana Salman Nadvi will be held accountable for his words.

But, on day of qiyamath, Allah SWT is not going to judge a person based on what we declared about him.

But it is for sure, we will be held accountable for the words we used against a person. What excuses we shall have!!!

Please at least use the title of Maulvi for Maulana Salman Nadvi DB. He is an alim of deen nonetheless.

It is not called double standards, but it is something our elders have taught us, and that is to be silent on the issue of mistakes of the ulama. Let the ulama deal with the ulama. It not for us laymen to get involved in their disputes.

The best I do here is, I won't listen to his bayans. I won't take guidance from him.

There are Islamic principles while dealing with such incidents. It is sure that Mob Justice and media trial is strictly disallowed in Islam May be members can guide me, it is haraam.
