Loading Hadeeth

The "New Jerusalem" of Greek Orthodox Church was taken by Muslims on 29th of May 1453. As part of the peace treaty, Muslims renamed the city to "Islambol" and converted the most sacred Holy site of Orthodox Christianity with the consent of Patriarch to a Mosque.

It remained a Mosque until 1934 when it was shut down by Ata-Turk. It reopened in 1935 as Museum.

It has been the demand of the Turkish Nation to return Hagia Sophia (back to a Mosque) as this is a visible symbol of the Ottoman military Supremacy, this is one of the most serious simmering issues in the Turkish society.

On the 02nd of July 2020, Turkish Courts will finally rule in the matter and there is a chance that the Adhan will be called in the Mosque once again.

I expect the World Media to go completely bonkers and barking mad on the day.

But who is there to back Turkey up if something kicks off? If things kick off I doubt France or anyone else would face Turkey on their own. If Turkey goes toe to toe with the West then who will back them up? I don't want Turkey to end up like Iraq or Syria.

Turkish military is one of the best of the world and it can take on countries like France, UK, Russia etc...America has massive numbers on its side but it will not fight Turkey. Turkish Air force is superior to any NATO force and has been for decades and clicking on the heels of of Israel and Pakistan, America has numerical superiority and technological edge.

The only way to subdue Turkey (militarily) is for the entire NATO allies to combined attack Turkey

Remember that the Turks single-handedly defeated the combined militaries of Europe in WW1 and beyond.

We can do an entire thread on Turkish military developments from 2010-2020 and Turks have serious bite and anybody who messes with them will do so at their own peril.

Don't equate Turkey to Iraq or Saudi Arabia in terms of military. The Ottomans know how to fight!

Turkey had very close ties with Europe's most formidable member state, Germany. Germany is allied very closely with France, which is Europe's number three. France and UK (Europe's number two) are very close.

Brother Muadh is correct when he says NATO will unravel if Turkey is targeted.

I did not know that such things are there in Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood.

My impression is that our Ulama have been too scared of end times to talk of these things.

For example I have a separate thread on how Istambul will be lost and till today I do not have a clear clue.

The developments that are currently underway might lead to that.

The west might end up, indeed, doing an Iraq or a Syria in Turkey and that way Istambul will be lost. But I can say this much that the west will be completely exhausted by this foolhardy choice. Muslims are increasingly refusing to be fooled by the west. Capture of Istambul will be their last glory.

Very interesting times in progress.
