As salamu alaikum,

Ibn Seereen Rahimullah says: "The knowledge of hadith is Deen. Therefore be aware from whom you acquire your Deen (i.e. knowledge)". [Shamail Tirmidhi]

In light of this I wanted people's advise (open to all please) on a personal situation - is it wise to learn/go through some parts of Sahih Bukhari with someone who is no doubt 'knowledgable' but does not follow a madthab and thinks himself sufficient to navigate his way through the endless oceans of Quran and Hadith?

How about if chapter is Fadail related and not involving Fiqh? e.g 1st chapter on Revelation?

How about just to improve Arabic skills?

Also, what if 'teacher' is not following sunnah fully - e.g. in appearance, dress etc?

Jazakallah.

http://www.alkawtharacademy.org/index.php

The dars can be accessed direct through the Alkawthar website now, so there is no need to download the paltalk software, however a paltalk user name is required which apparently takes minutes to register for. Tonights dars has been replaced with the following talk, dars resumes next Friday, Inshallah.
