Truthful Story

Once upon a time there lived a mighty King handsome and all with a magnificent kingdom. He was aided in his affairs by a beautiful queen who was inflicted with sorrow. The two could not have a child and it is this sadness which gripped them day and night.

One day, while in her garden, she saw a tiny basket flouting in the river. She asked the guardsmen to bring for the basket. Lo and behold, in it was a beautiful baby boy. The Queen was overjoyed and struck with the innocence of the beautiful baby sucking his thumb and looking up at her.

She immediately sent for the King and announced that she will be adopting this baby. The King also found the aby to be beautiful and allowed the Queen to keep the baby.

The baby grew in the household of the King and became mighty and strong. One day, while in the market the Prince struck a Royal Guard and killed him. Fearing the anger of the king, the prince ran away when the King only wanted to enquire about the affair and ensure that Justice was applied.

Over the years, the distance between the Prince the King grew. The King reminded the Prince how he took him into the royal household and looked after him but the Prince persisted in his opposition to the King.

Until one day, the confrontation became physical. The King and his army chased the prince but were drowned into the sea.

The King who took pity on the baby , took him into his household and looked after the Prince lost his life while chasing him.

Question:

What is the moral of the story?

Or perhaps the author has sympathy for the King. And deliberately neglected the part about the King being the greatest tyrants in history.

I understood the title of the thread. I was trying to figure why somebody deliberately would write this story devoid of context.

The story as it has been written reflects both the meanings you posted in the intiall post.

To make a point that when you strip context and background and selectively choose to discuss things a whole new meaning can be derived.

Strip the context and you can even try to evoke sympathy for Fir'aun.

Sort of what is happening on the forum right now...

Can I ask how far back you and Muadh go?

Only those who know Muadh well from Sunni forum call him colonel. I've been on this forum longer than most here, but I don't think I've ever called him that.

Where you also on Sunni forum?
(A simple answer will be appreciated)

I can't speak for anyone else. I placed a notice on my signature so that members can understand why I am not replying to any of their questions/discussions. As you can see I have taken it off because I'm sure the members concerned will have got the message by now.

I don't know about any group. There is no group and there never was a group.

Thanks for the explanation. Seems like others have changed their signatures too.

It is also possible to pm each other on forum to smooth out any issues. Found it but confusing seeing all these red notices. Anyway wishing all the members a safe, peaceful and blessed weekend.
