He may have been a Gujarati when he was born but the dude has never been a Gujarati in actions or words at all for the past nearly 20 years that I know him...

He is Pakistani.

Yes his father was a very great scholar,I was just telling the other brother that Shaikh Amin is also one of Hazrats students,in fact according to his biography Allamah sb once said in public,"I have written a book of knowledge. If you would like to read it, it is Mawlānā Amin".What a great student!

Allama Khalid Mahmood sahab (HA) is well known for his research and knowledge of deviant sects and their refutations. Do you know of any other academic topics that Allama sahab researches or has interest in?

His speciality is Hadeeth and Rijaal and his best work is "Athaarul-Hadeeth" a true Masterpiece, anyone who reads it cover to cover will get better than average knowledge of how the science of Hadeeth and its gradation works.

Its partisan "Deobandees" who have reduced him to Maunazara style expert on sects because they are interested in that field to further their own cause, no doubt he has written on it but his other material far outweighs his writings on "Sects"

He is not. He is saying "idolising him" which applies to anyone and in all situations.

Idolising anyone is a sign of immaturity.

Someone will take this post and get a 4th Fatwa issued on me (based on this post), same thing... sign of immaturity.

Jazak-Allah for sharing this information. I was aware of "Aathar ul Hadith" but never read it. Allama sahab ( HA) has also written "Athar ut Tanzeel" on the Qura'an and its uloom, I believe.

I never knew that Hadith and Rijaal were Allama sahab's(HA) specialty. The context most of us have heard Allama sahab(HA) being talked about is in the field of munazra. The ulama who usually mention Allama sahab(HA) are themselves from the munazra/refutation field.

Allama Khalid Mahmood (HA) has served as a Justice in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, so its understandable that his knowledge and mastery of Fiqh and Islamic Law must be of a high level too.

Note: One does not have to be a master of Fiqh or Islamic Law in order to be a Justice of Pakistan's Supreme Court. Ulama like Mufti Taqi Usmani (HA) or Allama sahab(HA) are on those positions so that they can review the rulings according to Shariah which is why their competence in Fiqh/ Islamic Law is necessary. They may not even have much power to do anything, though. ( I could be wrong on the last point(in bold) so please correct me if I am)

Having observed both of these Ulama, Allamah Khalid Mahmood (HA) and Mufti Taqi Usmani (HA) I think it is their meticulous attention to detail...You CANNOT pass non-sense past them and they will catch you out.

Mufti Taqi Usmani (HA) is unbelievably quick witted, he stopped me a few times in my presentation and asked questions which were very probing and a few slides ahead, the room was filled with over 30+ top Ulama and nobody else did that.

You cannot slide anything past them and bluff them.

I think this is a unique quality of them (in addition to) tremendous knowledge of course

The other thing Mufti Taqi Usmani (HA) does is that he pays 100% attention to a topic. Here, people don't even read a post properly...Mufti Taqi Usmani (HA) pays attention to anyone like a hawk and he asks questions again and again if something is not clear regardless of how simple it is

Mufti Taqi Usmani (HA) literally stops everything to pay attention as per the Hadeeth of Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam)

I have NEVER seen anyone actually follow the Hadeeth so meticulously, I have only heard people say the Hadeeth

I have a habit of writing and pronouncing "F-I-Q-H", he stopped and asked everyone what did I say

I said "F-I-Q-H" again and he asked again...What???

Mufti Yusuf Sacha Saheb (HA) said, "F-I-Q-H-A" so Mufti Taqi Usmani (HA) said, Acha...

He wasn't ashamed about such a simplistic issue and asked twice because he did not understand a word
