MashaAllah very clearly explained didn’t realise the birthing of the moon and sighting of the moon were two different things. I was always under the impression following astronomy was more accurate.

The Hilaal for Sha’bān 1441 was NOT sighted in the designated zone for United Kingdom. It has not been seen in France, Morocco and South Africa. Therefore, the Islamic month of Rajab 1441 will complete 30 days and Sha’bān 1441 will begin after sunset on Wednesday, the 25th of March 2020. The first day will be on Thursday, the 26th of March 2020.
