Non Muslim vs Royal family member.
A non muslim complained to Umar bin Abdul Azeez RA that waleed's son Abbas has usurped his property. Abbas said he has valid papers from his father.
Non Muslim said "do justice according to your book"
Umar bin Abdul azeez RA said, your papers are nothing before book of Allah, return the property to the non-muslim.

Once some one asked Hazrath Umar bin Abdul Aeez RA; "why prices of food grains have shot up in your period".

Khalifa replied "During earlier khalifahs, non-muslims were harassed for taxes, so they were selling food grains for throw away prices. Now I have withdrawn that, so they are selling commodities at reasonable prices".

Outside powers use the Kurdish movement to hurt Turkey and Turkey uses force against the Kurds to ensure its stability. We don't doubt Turkey's commitment to islam. International politics is a dirty game.

Btw the hadiths that our bossy brother is quoting is from the time when the Muslims conquered and subdued the non Muslims and made them into dhimmis. The shariah differentiates between dhimmis, non dhimmis, and harbis.
