"Our weakness is that sometimes instead of consulting scholars, we do research independent of the guidance of an expert, and arrive at incorrect conclusions. If a person approaches scholars for guidance, he protects himself from being led astray. If a person accidentally falls into misguidance, he should approach a scholar, so that the matter becomes clear to him.
Of all the months of the year, the month of Ramadan is the most blessed. Similarly, of the seven days of the week, Friday is the most blessed day. Of the 24 hours in a day, the time of the predawn prayer is the most blessed. The predawn prayers play an important role in a person's tarbiyah (spiritual reform).
Apart from what is already mentioned in the Quran and Hadith, Shariah does not permit us to mark out months, days, or hours as blessed based solely on our whims and fancies."
