It is and honor to request from you brothers and sisters for help to build a mosque in Ghana,Accra
The mosque was partially built by a Libyan.due to the war in Libya,we couldn't hear from the person
We waited for a long time,we can't get a feedback
It has been 8 years now
We therefore appeal to you people to help us or link someone who can help us to complete the mosque.
The mosque is located in an area where there is no single mosque for the Muslims
Hope to get welcoming answers from you people
Salam

I have shipped books from Pakistan to Ghana and got trapped by Qadiyanees and Christian Missionaries. In the end I had to contact Jamiatul-Ulama South Africa who put me in touch with South African Businessmen who took delivery of the books and distributed it in Accra (Tableeghi Markaz).

The "Muslim" organisation which contacted me were actually Christians who defraud Muslims in the West for money. I got suspicious when I called around in Accra and start putting the pieces together.

We would have lost over £10,000 worth of Qur'aans and books to these "Christians of Ghana" working with Qadiyanees.

I am not saying that this Maulana is fake but try to verify all Ghana related issues through South Africa.

Maulana Ibrahim Khalid,

Please don't PM me, I am not calling you fake. I am simply saying that a lot of fraud happens in Ghana so people should check and then assist.

All what you are saying is very true
Many people scam others especially the Muslims just bring the name of Islam down
If you don't believe me
You can ask me various questions and I will understand why you are doing so
The mosque in my area need help
It is partially built
And that is the only mosques in the area
The rest of the mosques are very far away from us
We mostly missed jummah prayers before we can reach other mosques

As Salaamu Alaykum.

My Dear and respected Brother, may Allah reward you for your endeavour, and help bring it in to fruition.

The norm in the western countries, is people donate for building of masjids and various other social projects. Through registered and established Islamic welfare charities that work around the world.

Perhaps some one on here will be able to put you in touch with an Islamic charity that is active in Ghana who can verify details. And work in co-ordination with you and others involved in building this Masjid.

Thank brother,May Allah bless you
And I wish it would help
But sometimes I feel bad when people thinks I am telling lies
Wallahi,we need help here in our mosque.
I am someone who will not ask for anything from someone unless for the person to build the mosque by himself or herself

As Saalamu Alaykum.

Brother you misunderstand. No one is accusing you of telling lies.

We are just pointing out that in order to raise funds, you need to do it in the right platform.

This is an Islamic discussion forum, where individuals gather to discuss various Islamic and social subjects. It is not the ideal place to raise funds.

The simplest and easiest way to raise funds. Is to contact the numerous welfare organisations who specialise in this area.

Most projects are funded through small donations from hundreds of individuals. Very few projects are funded through single donations from wealthy people...The people who donate are mostly poor working individuals, some giving $5 some $10 etc. Whatever small amount they can spare.

Money is raised in this manner for various projects, around the world. Such as, for refugees in war zones, building medical facilities, mosques, feeding the poor, building water wells, schools and numerous other things.

If you try to raise funds yourself it will be a very difficult and frustrating experience.

The charity and welfare groups are well organised and experienced in this field... They collect funds from small donations from hundreds of people and allocate to various projects. So this will be the easiest and quickest way to raise money for a masjid. This way you will get funding and necessary support through one organisation.

May ALLAH make things easy for you and grant you success.
