If it means the return of Trump then Republicans deserve to lose.

Rajab and In Need of Teaching both have very good points. Democrats have clearly rigged the primary in favour of Uncle Joe but Uncle Joe is clearly suffering from old age and he will not excite the young voters.

Will it be enough to defeat Trump? Establishment and deep state thinks that Uncle Joe is the best candidate and I also used to think so UNTIL I saw how much he has deteriorated due to old age.

Lets see what happens.. Its a big gamble

It is a very big risk indeed. I too was surprised to see how much Biden has deteriorated over the years.
I think he has the momentum to get Trump out of the White House, and that is the most important thing in this election.
I hope Biden picks a good running mate that would make for a good President just in case he's not able to complete his term.
Four years from now, it will be a totally different race, hopefully, with good candidates on both sides.

Like I said, the Democrats will rig this. They'd rather have an incoherent guy with dementia win, than let Bernie win and they call it a democracy.

So I guess both the poll numbers and the votes are all faked?

Just out of curiosity, do you live in the USA?

Uncle Joe's VP?

Biden has deteriorated to such an extent that there is a real possibility that he may not even finish the first term so VP is important, not in any order but what your thoughts?

  1. Kamala Harris: Yes, she is a woman and a minority but California is in the bag so what does Joe gain
  2. Stacey Abrams: Biden needs Georgia so excellent choice
  3. Beto: Safe choice and he can be the gun slinger for Biden
  4. Pete: I am not impressed by this guy so not sure what he brings to the table?
  5. Warren: Biden hates her but she will help bring the Progressives to the ticket...They got bad blood between them
  6. Booker: Not impressed and doesn't bring anything
  7. Duval: I know that he is Obama's favourite but I don't know what Obama sees in him...
  8. A Republican: If anyone can pull this, it can be a Biden...Is there a real Southern NeverTrumper around?
8 will be exciting...

Nope i don't live in the good old US of A or have I ever been there. Unfortunately American politics and the people they choose to elect is just a poor indictment and reflection of its people.

And no i don't think the voting is literally rigged, but the whole political system is, but isn't it always by those in power (media, large cooperations, financial markets etc.) irrespective of their political leanings.

Currently, from some of the various things I've read, I think Biden will choose a female running mate.
Warren: Very doubtful, bad blood, don't really agree on too many things.
Kamala Harris: I haven't reviewed her voting record, not sure what she brings to the ticket. Many think she is on the short list.
Stacey Abrams:Possibly another on the short list. She seems compatible with Biden on many ideas.

I love the idea of a Republican running mate, and I do believe Biden could pull it off, if he decides to go that way. Would make for a VERY interesting ticket.

Beto: Still a possibility. Wouldn't be one of my favorite choices, but he would be a safe pick.
Pete: Aside from his personal life, I kind of liked the guy. Not enough experience though he seemed to have some good ideas.
Booker and Duval: I just don't see it.
Klobuchar: Although not mentioned, I could see her getting on the ticket. Her views aren't that dissimilar to Biden's, I don't see her as a strong choice though.

I don't disagree with that aspect of rigging, it's more of an environmental thing than an actual rigging.

The biggest problem with Sanders is he's just too far to the left to even gain support from his own party. Russia and Trump both wanted him to be the Democratic candidate, simply because Trump would wipe the floor with him.

Trump's election is really an aberration. He got elected simply because more people hated his opponent and were willing to gamble on him. Since then, he's established himself as being too far to the right. I don't believe he represents the majority of Americans.

Trump wields power over the Republican elected officials through fear. Many simply lack the guts to go against him, and in doing so have abandoned their duty to the people. The US is currently in a very sad state of affairs.

Sanders and Trump both have a fan base that borders on worship, imo. A very strange turn of events for the US.

Hopefully, by getting a moderate into the White House, the situation will start to normalize.

This link has a graphic that explains some of what is meant by "left" and "right" in US politics.

I've been wondering lately.
It's actually quite plausible that Biden could select Klobuchar as a VP. Now that he's announced it will be a female VP.

If he selects her as a VP, it could be a result of not only their similarities on views, but also selecting a former opponent. That has quite a bit of precedence in US politics.

I'm really interested in who he will pick. He's previously said he won't announce a choice until he's selected as the Democratic candidate though.

Kloubachar will be a good second choice if Kamala Harris turns down the job.

Kamala is in pole position and I think she is a good choice.
