Effects Of Sinning

just somethign i heard recently that pertains to above... Maulana Kamaluddin Ahmed damat barakatuhu said in his bayaan on 'Leaving sin inwardly and outwardly'(www.tasawwuf.org/audio/2004/kamal/leaving_sin.wma) : "The first consequence of a sin is that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala will bring a worry in a person's life."

Subhan'Allah..how many worries do we have today....

*Mufti Kamal wasn't saying that ALL worries are due to sin, he also mentioned they do come as tests for us, but this is just something that alerts us, insha'Allah.. khayr if anyone wants to listen to it to get the whole bayan it's linked above.

MORE EFFECTS OF SINNING:

One sin becomes the cause for another sin,
thus, sins become a habit and giving up
the sin becomes difficult.

Life becomes shorter and the barakah (blessing)
of life disappears

Due to the evil of sinning one is deprived of
the knowledge of deen

A CONSEQUENCE OF DISOBEDIENCE

A consequence of disobedience to Allah سبحانه وتعالى is that a sinner remains
constantly tormented with a feeling of remoteness from Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

Once a person came to a Saint and complained of feelings of uneasiness
and remoteness from Allah سبحانه وتعالى . The Sufi remarked:

When your sins have made you fearful and created in you a painful feeling
of remoteness from His Eternal Presence, repent and shake off your sins.
You will find nearness to Him.

HARMS OF SINS

Excessive sinning causes one to be deprived of divine guidance and help in the carrying out of good deeds to such an extent that due to the evil effects of this a person gradually ceases to perform any virtuous acts.

EFFECTS OF SINNING

Excessive sinning causes one's life to decline.
There no longer remains any barakah (blessings) in one's
existence.

... MORE EFFECTS OF SINNING

- Barakah of rizq goes away, despite one's sustenance appearing to be plentiful, very little benefit is derived from it. It may well be spent away in sicknessess, anxieties and wastage.

- A sinner experiences a kind of terror and unrest

- A sinner gets a feeling of fear for people, particularly fear of the company of the pious more and will be deprived of the blessing of the company of the illustrious servants of Allah

- A sinner experiences difficulties in most of his/her affairs

- The heart of a sinner becomes darkened, due to this a person becomes involved in innovations, deviation and ignorance that will eventually lead to destruction

THE HARM OF SINS

The greatest harm of committing sins is that Allah Subhaanuhuwata'aala becomes displeased. If there had to be no other punishment on sins then just thinking of this would be sufficient to stop us from sinning. Nobody likes to displease his/her benefactor, then to displease our Kind and True Benefactor our Lord, who has showered us with unlimited favours, is against the morals of a human. Besides this, there are warnings of severe punishments on committing sins in this world and in the Hereafter.

HARMS OF SINS

As a person commits sins the intention to repent for these sins weakens until a person is completely deprived of having the ability and guidance to repent for misdemeanors and unfortunately departing from this world in a state of disobedience.

May Allah Subhaanuhuwata'aala forgive us for sins we commit knowingly and unknowingly.

By being continually involved in sins, one reaches a stage where one no longer considers these evil acts to be sinful, and would thus openly continue committing actions contrary to Shariah.

Hence, the evil of sins gradually decrease in the heart, and this person is distanced from the mercy of Allah . When a person ceases to consider sins to be evil then he/she has in fact placed their Imaan in danger. In fact it will lead to this person committing Kufr. May Allah protect us.
