Finally an opinion that was not seen anywhere else.
Babri Masjid is not a problem of Muslims of India only. It is problem of Muslims of the world and they must make their opinion and their voice heard.
We Muslims of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have been crying hoarse about Palastine but our honourable Palestinians never say a word either about Kashmir, Babri Masjid or the plight of Indian Muslims.
What do brothers and sisters think about this attitude? Or am I missing something?
But I digress.
Pakistanis and Bangladeshis should talk more about Babri Masjid as well as the situation of Muslims in India. Please do not get carried away by the internal matter theory. It is not.
Nearly two decades ago I heard the argument from a neighbourhood shop keeper : "Gujrat ke log kuchh kareng". People of Gujrat will do something. He made this remark after the post Godhara genocide in Gujrat.
My problem with his argument is what can people of Gujrat do when police and civil administration gave full freedom to the mobs to kill Muslims and destroy their property?
Similarly the Muslims of the world have been thinking and waiting that Muslims of India will do something about their plight. That is not silly but plain stupid as well as insensitive. What is meaning of Ummah if the Muslims of one part of the world do not feel the pain of the Muslims of the other part.
And let me tell you that this is no joke. Remember that 800 years ago Allah SWT dethroned the community of Rasoolallah SAW from the primary community of Muslims and put them under Chenghiz Khan's sword.
After that Timurid Turks ruled India, Ottoman Turks ruled Turkey, Safavi Turks ruled Iran and the Saljuke Turks ruled the middle east.
And see how mercilessly the Palastinians are treated even today.
My impression is that Khanqah, Madarsa and Tabligh, even combined together, might not be able to see us through.
We, though, are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with Taliban.
Khanqah, Madrassah and Tabligh are only relevant in these times if they become Taliban or are upgraded to Taliban and Taliban are only relevant today (in order to administer and lead the civilized world) if they adopt a friendly approach towards technology and focus their energies on worldly sciences and start Islamicising the secular institutions of governance and management of the society developed by the industrial world. For this they need to adopt a new kind of Madrassah education system turning the madaris into Islamic Universities which have a fusion of Western and Eastern wisdom with the influence and guidance of Quran and Sunnah. Also in creating a truly modern Islamic Emarate, they must not shy to explore the political-socio-economic systems of non western developed world like China and Russia.
In Maudoodi's times only the West was developed enough that concepts of governance and administration could be borrowed from it. However, today with China as a rising power we have a variety of options.
Today, the biggest problem I am observing in our elders is that they are good in pinpointing problems where as they fail to give a solution. For instance, many muftis are pointing out the ills of University environment and co education, however, the solution they propose is to not send our children in such institutions. My question is that why couldn't these same Muftis and intellectuals build Islamic Universities with decent and safe environment teaching modern worldly and religious sciences? Who was stopping them from the last 70+ years? Who is stopping them now? We have doctor Muftis and Engineer Muftis and Maulanas? Why don't they come forward? Who is stopping them?
Our friend here has mentioned two times that leadership of this ummah will emerge from universities and not madaris. However, I beg to differ with respect. I say that the leadership will emerge among people with only the correct mindset. For that, modern Islamic universities must be founded. As a beginning, the virtual world can be used for that. However, later on brick and mortar institutions need to be built which are modern yet truly Islamic.
The decision of the Supreme Court of India should be taken by the International Court of Justice. The international court usually hears the case only after the verdict of the local Supreme Court
This is incorrect. The International Court of Justice only adjudicates disputes between member states who recognize the authority of the International Court of Justice. It is an "international" court, and "international" literally means "between nations." This was explained by Professor Faizan Mustafa, an eminent jurist and professor of law at The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
