بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُه

Social Media platforms have a responsibility to curtail far right incitement and to put an end to Hate Speech of all kinds.

Shaykhul-Islam Mufti Taqi Usmani Saheb (DB) urges all British Muslims to sign this petition to persuade British Government to put pressure on British Government to combat the incitement of (religious) hate.

Assalaamu 'alaykum
Someone was saying if this law goes through it can open doors to our being unable to call ghulam ahmed qadiani a disbeliever since he is regraded as a "prophet" by his followers. They said perhaps it was not explained properly to Mufti Taqi sahib? When I heard this, it made sense so not sure how this petition stands as there definitely should be a legal boundary for hate speech and criticism against religions and Prophets AS and our beloved Nabi sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam. Perhaps Ulama from Wifaq can clarify?

Dont really believe in petitions as nothing has come out of previous petitions signed by muslims. This story government even rejected definition of Islamophobia and that was brought to the parliament by the sitting MPs. Even if it reaches 100,000 you will just get standard reply of how they are fighting hate crimes especially on social media but at the same time freedom of speech has to be upheld.

This petition was started by a barelvi aalim/ brother and was propagated on their tv channel. Mufti taqi backed their petition. Hopefully, this will change their opinion about their deobandis being ghustakhe rasool

Someone has worked a miracle :)

Something not right though.

Yesterday I saw it at 64000 and I am being told at Fajr it was 40000 votes.

The results will probably return and say after vetting, most votes were from non UK residents or fake/multiple email address owners (that's a lot)
