السلام عليكم

بسم الله الرحمن اللرحيم

The following was shared by Maulana Abu uzair sahab of attabligh website on 12th June 2019 :

Few gems by Shaikh ul Islam Hazrat Mufti Taqi usmani sahab (db) at Blackburn Darul uloom U.K :

The Four levels of Ikhtilaaf ( in order of strength)

1) Between Islam And Kufr - No Compromise allowed here.

2) Between Haq And Batil - But to a lesser degree than above .

3) Ikhtilaaf in Mujtahad feeh Matters - No Munkar on Either side.

4) Ikhtilaaf due to the Mizaaj (Temperament) of the scholar in a certain Mas'ala - No Big deal here. So shouldn't be blown up at all.

duas..

wa Assalam..

I take it this topic is dealing with point number two!

If others think otherwise, then they are confused on the matter and have not understood the context, the rules, the orders, the verses, the Hadith.

Point 2)
Haq and Baatil. Nothing to do with ijtihad or Mizaaj.

Can Arafah fasting be different in Saudi and other countries? - Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem

Please note, this is also the view of the Hanafi School of thought. It is however unfortunate that there are followers of these schools (i.e. Hanafi, Hanbali, Salafi etc) that do not follow this, rather they follow something that is not of the Sunnah!

End the Lunacy of Moon Fighting

For centuries, Muslims followed the prophetic practice (sunnah) of moon sighting to determine the beginning of lunar months. However, in recent times, there is a call to abandon this important sunnah in favor of calculation and a pre-determined calendar. This has lead to the lunacy of “moon fighting”—back-and-forth quarreling that is renewed every Ramadan. In this video, Dr. Youssef Ismail, who has a PhD in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and is a professor of astronomy, math, and jurisprudence at Zaytuna College, takes us on an extraordinary journey through the science and practice of moon sighting and explains why this timeless sunnah is a critical part of our worship and connection to our Creator

New Moon above horizon before Maghrib and not visible to the naked eye or telescopes or any other equipment after Maghrib when sighting is to be done!

CCD Imaging once again to prove the New Moon is there and not sighted as per the Sunnah. Then we get told that we create disunity!

New Moon aka The Black Moon or Dark Moon doesn't mean it's the Hilal.

We therefore take this opportunity to remind the Muslims in Britain that there is only one moon and there is only one Muslim ummah. A single Shari‘i sighting is sufficient for the whole world, wherever that sighting happens to be.

I thought the above tweet was going to be something positive. However, unfortunately, it is contrary to The Quran and Sunnah.

This is what lies and bad education does to people.

"fitna", "chaos", "havoc", "split our community" etc (13min talk)

A direct complaint letter was written in Nov 2007 to the late (Deobandi denomination) scholar Mufti Saeed Ahmed Palanpuri complaining against a London talk he gave earlier during that month. Before leaving London to fly back to India, the night before after Esha prayers Mufti Saeed took this letter out his pocket and read it out publically to address and answer the points that were raised.

I haven't posted the video with the text visible as it hurts the eyes :)

This unity is Ajeeb...... Every year, muslim brothers in Fiji and Newzealand have to offer sacrifices and celebrate Eid. And UK muslims have to say sorry to these muslims, "for unity sake, bear with us".

These muslims in the east get the Hilal announcement of eid after they had completed the sahari meal, taraweeh was completed when it was not required, mu'takif completed their stay for a extra night. This shall continue forever.

While UK muslims will start preparing for Eid in the middle of the day of 29th of Ramazan..... Ajeeb.......

Perhaps you have never read the hadith on how the people of the same continent would celebrate Eid on different days!

It is what we have been taught by the Prophet (saw) and his companions.

Quote:
Kuraib (RA) reported that Umm Fadl (RA) [daughter of Harith] sent him (Fadl, i.e. her son) to Sayyidina Mu'awiya (RA) in Syria. Fadl said: I arrived in Syria, and did the needful for her. It was in Syria that the month of Ramadhan commenced. I saw the new moon (of Ramadhan) on Friday. I then came back to Madina at the end of the month. Sayyidina Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas (RA) asked me (about the new moon of Ramadhān) and said: When did you see it? I said: We saw it on the night of Friday. He said: (Did) you see it yourself? I said: Yes, and the people also saw it and they observed the fast and Mu'awiya also observed the fast, whereupon he said: But we saw it on Saturday night. So we would continue to observe fast till we complete thirty (days) or we see it (the new moon of Shawwal). I said: Is the sighting of the moon by Mu' awiya not valid for you? He said: No, this is how the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, has commanded us. [Muslim]

Interesting share :)

This also explains (or is understood) why we have leap years in the gregorian calendar, to keep the seasons at the same time every year. Otherwise, we'd be adding a 13th month every 3 years too, just like the pagan Arabs and Hindus.
