Taliban Propaganda:

Taliban affiliated Twitter Account claiming that ISKP is run by ISI, this guy is a Punjabi and clearly faking his accent to try to sound Pushtun and failing!

As I said, Pakistan Army and Taliban are both liars...

Taliban vs Taliban 2.0:

In order to understand this movement, people need to split them into two eras:

  • Pre-2011: This was a purely organic movement with Qur'aan and Sunnah at its heart with massive support in rural Afghanistan. The urban afghan population were sick and tried of bloodshed and war and corruption so they were willing to give them a chance. Their residency and reach was into Pakistan (Deobandees were the core support)
  • Post-2011: This is where they started negotiations with foreign powers primarily US. The United States pushed India to invest and provide manpower and technical know how which it did. When Dollars started rolling in, the foreign powers were able to permeate the core group and overtime the foreign element became dominant with residency and reach into the Middle east.

The contract under which US exited has never been made public, nobody knows what the Americans extracted and what benefits were provided in return, it is a circumstantially evident that Americans still have some outposts inside Afghanistan.

The second difference which is clearly visible is the uplift of their lifestyle (and families) clearly visible in Middle East and in Texas and elsewhere, you can see it if you just see the blacked out SUVs driving around Afghanistan on you tube in Tourist videos. Most of the Tourist interactions are heavily scripted but even then you see the lifestyle of Taliban in Afghanistan.

Those who had any opportunity to visit Afghanistan or interact with Taliban during Hajj or overseas know what sort of simplistic Sunnah based lifestyle Taliban lived in the original era. Today's generations have their children (including daughters) studying in universities in Pakistan (and outside) and it is not even denied in Interviews.

You hardly saw or heard or interacted with the womenfolk of the original Taliban while there are dozens of lady Doctors in Islamabad who are daughters of current Taliban regime.

In Qatar and Turkiye, you can also meet with and interact with sons and daughters of Taliban.

I totally understand if the readers of Muftisays will choose not to believe this.
