No this is not the same as idolising. We love the green dome because it has some sort of nisbat (relationship) with Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. Our Prophet is resting in Madinah. So we love Madinah, its soil, we love Masjid-e-Nabawi, we love its dome, its minarets. What makes you think it's bid'ah?

and even if we do pray behind them (the muslim version of Shia :)) then what is wrong in that. since our Aqeedah clearly states that we can. Even Shaykh Albani says that we can pray behind deviants

Shia is not a monolithic group and never has been in the history of Islam. They all differ with Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat but their differences vary from being divergent to all-out Kuf’r.

So blanket statements about the Shias cannot be made either in the affirmative or in negation without actually checking and ascertaining their Aqaid.

I (as a matter of principle) DO NOT pray behind Shia and I WILL NOT but that is my own practise and Ulama may differ. I also DO NOT eat their meat but that is also my personal prerogative.

Unity between various fractions of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat (Hayati Deobandees, Mamati Deoandees, Punjpeeri Deobandees, Cornflakes Deobandees, Crunchy nut Deobandees, RazaKhani Barelwees, Multani Barelwees, Aslami Barelwees, Cheerios Barelwees, Ghuraba Ahl-e-Hadeeth, Anjuman Ahl-e-Hadeeth, Athari Ahl-e-Hadeeth, Sufi Ahle-Hadeeth, Oreo Ahle-Hadeeth etc etc etc) is different to Shia/Sunni unity…

and masjid nabawi as well. The colour gold. The other domes. The carpet. The colour of the walls. The marble. The mountains. The minarets. Why is this particular dome so important?

However, I don't know many Shia nor do I attend their places of prayer and neither do I eat meat from their localities in London. I avoid Shia places to be safe.

What has that got to do with Islam. It's a matter of respect, that's all.

What action would you take if you saw picture of the Green Dome or any dome on the floor/road? You would try and make it safe right, out of respect.

What exactly is bid'ah? The construction of green dome or the reverence for the Masjid and dome? And how exactly is Maulana Qasim Nanotwi RA idolosing it? He just showed his love by refusing to wear those green shoes!

We love everything connected to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. For some people green dome is particularly special because it has become a distinctive feature of Masjid-e-Nabawi.
