I have an idea for you for Assistant Professor Saheb,

You can try calling yourself what Allah Ta'ala has called you instead of sticking to a term from 1866. How does that sound to you?

Loading Qur'aan Verse

[22:78] Struggle for (seeking the pleasure of) Allah, a struggle that is owed to Him. He has chosen you and did not impose any hardship on you in the religion, the faith of your father Ibrahim. He (Allah) named you as Muslims earlier and also in this (Qur‗an), so that the Messenger becomes a witness to you, and you become witnesses to (other) people. So establish Salah, pay Zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your patron. So, how excellent He is as a patron, and how excellent as a supporter!

Conclusion (from me):

If you have survived 29 pages of swipes in this thread, it would not have escaped your attention that not a single person claiming to be a “Deobandi” has given a definition of “Deobandi” in 29 pages. They have swiped, they have insulted, they have abused, they have tried to spin but they have spectacularly failed in defining “Deobandi”.

Nevertheless, there is a bigger failure in this thread which represents two individuals:

  1. Maripat Saheb: He wishes to provide intellectual solutions to the problems of Muslims particularly those in India. Yet, in a country of close to 80% Non-Muslims, he has no problems identifying himself with a sectarian label and then have no issues with an even tighter label of “Deobandi Hanafi Hayati”
  2. Sipraomer Saheb:  He wishes to provide practical solutions to the problems of Muslims and believes in brining back Khilafah. The fundamental cornerstone of Khilafah is that sovereignty belongs to Allah Ta’ala, once again this person has no issues in identifying himself with a label

This is different to people saying that “I follow Ulama of Deoband”. The issue in this thread is the label “Deobandi” which is separate and distinct from “following Ulama of Deoband”

Once you have adopted a “label”, psychologically your entire point of view changes no matter what you profess (from your tongue).

It is psychological conditioning and this is what Mufti Rafi Usmani (HA) is saying by expressing his position.

If you cannot see that while living in a country with 80% Non-Muslims, then nothing can make you understand it.

If you cannot see that while calling for Khilafah for "Muslims", then nothing can make you understand it.

So! Boys and girls, if we understood what the two muftis are saying (Jzk for the transcript - I thought I might have to take up Urdu lessons) we are all agree that we follow the Ulama associated with Deoband and that there is not really much benefit in adding the additional name to ourselves.

If we drop the name Deobandi, will we still be the same Muslim's?

If we drop our God given name Muslim, will we still be the same person?

So far in all those debating and wasting time, the only one making sense is our sister in the thread. It seems she has grasped what muftis are saying in both lectures. Well done to you sister.

Otherwise all the intellectuals adamant about keeping the title of Deobandeeeee have a chance of being deluded because they are the only ones on Haqqqqq, whereas those who wish to keep the God given name are creating havoc and chaos for laypeople lol.

As one of the Haqqqqaneees would say, ROLF, LMAO, LOL

I think deaf dumb and blind is suitable in the sense that they still haven't been able to grasp simple English (and Urdu coz the lectures which I haven't heard are in Urdu)

Clearly spoken for everyone to HEAR, clearly written for everyone to SEE but clearly not able to SAY what is being said and asked.

Shayk,

Khan saheb's post is based on his experience with deobandis in UK and it may not be same back here in India. It would be best if Khan saheb visits India and experience the environment of deobandis here.

I haven't heard about hayati mamati thing from deobandi ulema here. When I visited North India I noticed that barelwisim is on decline. Many barelwi masjids and madarsas have fallen in hand of deobandis.

May be my experience is limited to particular area, you can share what is latest in most part of the area there.

It is clear from your posts that when you have nothing positive to say or get stuck and proved to be wrong, you start trolling!

Check your intentions bro!

Seriously

It is very clear that you people keep on accusing other people of the thing they don't intend and keep on going into circles. Check your intention bro too.

This is the biggest trolling which you people are doing.

We are saying that we just use this label to make things easy for us to understand. Nothing sectarian about it.

You people keep on saying if you don't want to choose the label given by Allah then it's your choice.

Both of these things are totally different. However, you don't want to understand. Then fine it's your choice.

The tamashah and bakwaas emanating from this thread ironically epitomises Muadh's very point.

Deobandies from all parts of the globe down each other throat's bickering about when, if and how one should use the label Deobandie.

What a laughing stock you lot are.

Carry on lads.

Deobandi,s don’t make ‘tamasha’ sir, we only want to keep the identity alive so that you have a ‘target’ to hit and a ‘name’ to lash out at...

Remove the ‘name’ of deoband from your post,put....instead, and see if any meaning is still left in it ?

Some people don’t want to acknowledge such a simple fact that we can’t live in this world without a name and identity.

Paaji, that makes heaps of sense.

You keep convincing the masses or everyone else in this thread who disagrees with you.

It shall remain unchanged.
