Salaam

Im in desperate need of advice. I caught my husband cheating on me in April we have one daughter. He chose to stay with the girl he was cheating with and i later found out he had cheated with 20+ women throughout the final year of our marriage. Until this day both our families are struggling to understand what went wrong as our relationship was beautiful alhamdulillah. He was so so in love with me it seemed but all of a sudden i started noticing a drastic change in him during the last few months before our divorce. Wallahi i can say i do not even recognise this man. His behaviour, his words, his anger, his heart, everything has become so stone cold to the extent that he left his family also for this girl. one day we had an argument, i was asking him to leave her and to try and sort our marriage out atleast for the sake of our daughter. things heated up, he got extremely angry and i can honestly say he seemed possessed. In the 10 years i had been with him i have never seen him this enraged, he said to me 'i divorce you' 3 times and then he laughed in my face after attacking me.

7 months later his girlfriend has dumped him and he has come crawling back to me. I love this man regardless of what hes done and i want to be with him. We continued having intimate relations the whole time of seperation. He promises me he will change. he has already moved in with me however we havent told our famillies as i am getting different information in regards to the talaaq. many have told me 3 talaaqs in a fit of anger in one go is considered as 1 talaaq. others say we can not be together.

HELP!

The issue of divorce is very sensitive. There are plenty of threads on this forum to help you understand better.

From what you have said, I would advise you speak to your local Ulama and seek their guidance as what you have described is zina with your ex husband.
