In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh

We know that Dajjal will use rumours and disinformation as a weapon.

What we are witnessing in our times is a 100% distrust of mainstream Media to the extent that even credible verified news is not being accepted. Muslims, believes conspiracies at the cost of acknowledging problems within our ranks.

Evangelic Christians believe conspiracy theories instead of verified and accepted news. Yesterday on CNN, a guy said in the Interview

If Jesus came to me and told me about Russia Collusion, I would still turn to Trump and ask his opinion.

I have sat in the company of Ulama where certain Mureeds have said, “I don’t care what you are saying, I will ask my Shaykh about this”.

How do we build credibility in this toxic environment?

consistency. when anyone be it muslims or not or ulema or not if we have no consistency and change our views/opinion depending on whos involves you lose credibility. i give you an example. george galloway. he is so against zio oppression in palestine yet so pro assad. or scholars who speak out weak and defencless but suck up to saudi regime. cant take such people seriously. if something is wrong then its wrong regardless whos doing it and to whom its being done.

But opinions change. For example when America was assisting the Mujahideen in Afghan-Jihad the opinions of many were different to what it is today

Actually we don't need to go that far. Many of you may have been around in 1999 when Bill Clinton ordered air strikes on Serbia.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_bombing_of_Yugoslavia

And it is also about perspective.

Bonisans love Clintons while Serbians hate them

Do you mean like this, blatant example of doublestandards? :)

Hamid Karzai: US colluded with ISIL in Afghanistan

  1. When he was President, everything was fine
  2. Now, he is no longer the President, everything is not fine

or how we can condemn israel and usa burma aggression but silent on saudis killing yemanese for jokes. if u look at these fake news outlets one theme i notice is that they sell to their audience how they are the oppressed and double standards of the MSM

yes exactly this like this. the more you identify with a group/sect/party the more obvious it is. in UK politics mps will defend their fellow party members no matter what but if opposite did it they cry foul. we see it in islam too. we criticise someone or a group for doing something we deep bad n haram but if our own do it then its halal and get told abt husnul dhun

We digressed.

The point I am making is that some Muslims are evanlegical Christians behave the same way when it comes to conspiracy theories.
