Seeing everything posted on the other thread, what possible logic could Dewsbury have in Supporting Maulana Saad it all seems rather Odd.

Normally after a split you get further splits, and splinter groups until there is nothing left.

Proposal:

A Senior Maulana called 2 days ago and we discussed the matter at length. The solution proposed by Maulana is as follows:

Dewsbury Markaz and those who run it have been hit with scandal after scandal for years but British Muslims have kept it quiet. This division has exposed the fault lines. Those who are guilty know that they are guilty.

If they stick around, it will do lasting damage to the work of Tableegh simply for the sake of their ego.

This matter shouldn’t have become political and most certainly should not have been put out in the open for everyone to view and comment upon.

For the vast majority of work of Tableegh (Taleem, Gasht, Jamaat etc) , it doesn’t matter whether you follow Nizamuddin or world Shura as the work is grassroots and makes no difference to the bickering acrimony on the top.

The Islah which is associated with the work (at grassroots) is also not affected by the bickering at the top.

Nevertheless, both sides (in UK) have tried to make the issue political and have thus affected the work.

  1. Elders (who are guilty and have scandals) have the ideal opportunity to retire. In an ideal world, they should be forced out or resign BUT for the sake of Islam, let us settle on them resigning from their positions.
  2. Promote the Imam of Dewsbury Markaz and 2 Ulama who closely work in the Markaz to the Shura
  3. This should still leave 5 spots on the (UK) Shura and it should be filled with a representative from each zone (London, North (UK), Scotland, Wales, Ireland) or some arrangement on similar grounds

BUT this would never happen. Because these “elders” will cling to power and just like Darul-uloom Deoband, Darululoom Saharunpur and other Institutes it will cause a split due to their gigantic egos.

There are a lot of scandals in the Markaz and it is in the interest of elders to resign if they want any (personal) integrity left in their old age. Above all, if they want the work of Tableegh to continue in UK, they should step aside.

There is a pattern amongst Deobandees and everybody thinks of themselves as vanguards of Haq and that Haq (and this Deen) and its protection is associated with their person. They think that if they step aside severe harm will come to the Deen,

Nothing but inflated egos.
