i recently got back from umrah and thought il share this with you guys hopefully it will benefit you and others.
two my friends who where travellings me where told when checking in our luggage for return journey they cant bring their ipad mini and portable phone charger regardless if its main luggage or hand.
we where travelling on BA and prior to travellings they had spoken to BA and were told its fine to carry them. i personally travel very light and never take technology to umrah as there is no need and time for it. so if anyone is looking to go soon or with hajj approaching just be aware. unlikely but possible on return you can be stopped and accussed of smuggling if questions. my friends managed to get it through by slipping them into main luggage.
